Taylor Swift almost falls over at VMAs and fans are all making the same joke

As we already know, there was a whole load of drama that took place at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards last night (11 September).

From Chappell Roan's iconic response to being told to 'shut the f*ck up' to Orlando Bloom's hilarious reaction to Katy Perry's performance - it's clear this year's VMAs far from short of celebrity antics.

And adding to the lot was none other than Taylor Swift who almost fell over in the crowd prompting Swifties to all make the exact same joke about the near-blunder.

Now, the 34-year-old 'Love Story' singer made history after becoming the most-awarded artist since the ceremony first began back in the 1980s.

Taylor, who wore a full-Dior yellow plaid outfit, took home the prestigious Video of the Year award for the record-breaking fifth time as well as receiving a staggering 12 nominations across the board.

In her acceptance speech, Taylor paid touching tribute to her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who joined her on set while she directed the award-winning video for 'Fortnight' which featured on her Tortured Poets Department album.

In her speech, she said: "You know, this video seems very sad when you watch it, but it was the most fun video to make and something I will always remember is that when I would finish a take and I would say 'cut' and we'd be done with the take, I would always just hear someone cheering and like 'woo' from across the studio where we were shooting it and that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.

"Everything this man touches turns into happiness and find a magic so I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I will always remember that."

Even with all those achievements, it seems Taylor is still very much so human and can sometimes lose her balance - something which her NFL star beau seems to be very well aware of.

Previous paparazzi footage shows Trav telling her 'watch your step' when walking out of a building and fans were quick to notice Taylor seemed to forget his warning while vibing in the audience at the VMAs.

Sharing footage of the near-fall one X user wrote: "Not her almost falling pls this is probably why travis always tells her to watch her step sksjsjs."

"Now we know why Travis is always telling her to watch her step," penned a second while a third quipped: "Ok Travis I see why you tell her to watch her step now. Your services were very much missed tonight."

Another echoed: "Travis probably has witnessed it few times that’s why he always tell her watch her step."

And a final X user declared: "This is the reason why Travis is always like watch your step baby."
