New court documents have revealed fresh insight into the alleged confrontation between Ryan Reynolds and Justin Baldoni.
It comes amid the ongoing, very high-profile legal battle between Blake Lively, 38, and Baldoni, 41, who both starred in the movie It Ends With Us in August last year, and Baldoni directed it.
For those who need a reminder, months after the romance movie was released in December 2024, Lively filed a lawsuit, which accused Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer Studios of sexual harassment and retaliation, alleging the director and a team of publicists had launched a 'smear campaign' against her after she complained about on-set conditions.
The trial for Lively’s suit against Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios is scheduled for March 2026.

Meanwhile, Baldon has denied the allegations and filed a $400 million countersuit against the actress, which was dismissed in June after the judge ruled that the director couldn't sue Lively for defamation over claims she made in her lawsuit, because allegations made in a lawsuit are exempt from libel claims.

And now, in the latest update, a newly unsealed email from Baldoni's Wayfarer team has been released.
The email, which was obtained by People Magazine, reportedly claims that fellow A-list celebrities Taylor Swift, 35, and Hugh Jackman, 57, were inside Reynolds' and Lively's, 38, New York City penthouse apartment during a heated confrontation back in April 2023 that is said to have taken place between Reynolds and Baldoni.

The new exhibit reportedly includes a timeline of events that Wayfarer Studios co-founder Jamey Heath's team emailed to Baldoni's publicist back in July 2024.
According to the document, on April 25, 2023, Baldoni went to the couple's penthouse and Reynolds 'unloaded' on Baldoni about 'how horrible it was' that he would ask about a woman's weight'.
It was claimed that Baldoni 'was fat-shaming Blake', and when confronted, he was 'completely embarrassed and apologised and even shared some tears'.

While all this was going on, the documents claim that Swift, who had previously been mentioned in Lively's lawsuit, and Jackman were in the apartment during the incident.
In Lively's amended complaint, her lawyers accused Baldoni of 'finding back-channel ways of criticising her body and weight' during production of It Ends With Us.
Her complaint alleged that the Gossip Girl star 'was humiliated to learn that Mr. Baldoni secretly called her fitness trainer without her knowledge or permission, and implied that he wanted her to lose weight in two weeks,' as per PEOPLE Magazine.
Meanwhile, in his $400 million, now dismissed, countersuit, Baldoni's attorneys explained that he contacted Lively's trainer 'to ask what Lively weighed so that he could train his back muscles in preparation for a lift scene'.

The actor alleged he wanted to 'avoid injury' since he 'suffered from lifelong back injuries'.
Baldoni also alleged that in his complaint that Reynolds 'screamed at him' and accused him of 'fat-shaming his wife', with the Deadpool star allegedly saying: “How dare you f***ing ask about my wife’s weight? What’s wrong with you?”
Baldoni's lawyers said that the 'confrontation by Reynolds and Lively was so aggressive that Baldoni felt he had no choice but to offer repeated (and completely unwarranted) apologies for what was a good faith and reasonable question to ask'.
