Why Taylor Swift being born in the year of the snake could seriously affect how 2025 plays out for her
The Reputation hit-maker is set to have a very eventful year
Taylor Swift is set for another successful year according to the Chinese Zodiac calendar.
The pop star embraced the slithery serpent as the main motif of her sixth studio album Reputation, which was released in 2017. It just so happens that 2025 is the Year of the Snake.
Born December 13, 1989, Swift is a Sagittarius in Western Astrology. Her date of birth also means she’s an Earth Snake in Chinese astrology in which 12 animals are used instead of constellations.

Chinese New Year was on 29 January, marking the beginning of the year of the Wood Dragon. A snake year comes about every 12 years, but this is first Wood Snake year since 1965.
According to astrologer and bestselling author Lisa Stardust, who spoke to PEOPLE about Swift’s birth chart, the snake represents someone who is ‘agile, smart, direct and stands up for herself’.
Stardust explained: “As we’ve seen, Swift is more than capable of defending herself against the haters. In her career, we’ve seen the feisty and metamorphic vibe of the snake.
"The earth element added to the snake makes her analytical, reflective, sensitive and loyal — all attributes that we’ve seen play out through her actions and music."
So, what does 2025 have in store for Swift?
The Lunar New Year will affect us all in different ways - even if you weren’t born in a snake year - however, those that are will experience a profound impact.
Chinese metaphysics consultant Vicki Iskandar also told PEOPLE that the Year of the Snake will be ‘a year of turning points’ for Swift and those who share this zodiac sign.
“Be prepared to grab life-changing opportunities coming your way," she said. "Challenges will also abound, but you have the positive mindset needed to rise above them. Keep that positive mindset and your snake return year can be one of the best years of your life."
Swift has already had an eventually 2025 so far by attending and presenting at the Grammys.
During the prestigious awards ceremony which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday (2 February), Beyoncé won the biggest award, Album Of The Year, for Cowboy Carter, which marked her first win in the category.
She also took home the trophy for Best Country Album, which was announced by Swift - who herself was nominated for her own six awards.
Swift is also set to attend the Super Bowl this year where her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will aim to secure their third consecutive championship win.
Some fans even think Kelce will propose, and he's spoken out about it. We'll just have to wait and see...
