Taylor Momsen has revealed she was hospitalised after being bitten by a venomous spider while touring in Mexico.
The 32-year-old actress and singer's band and The Pretty Reckless are performing as the support act for AC/DC’s POWER UP Tour, which included a show in Mexico City last night (15 April).
However, the Gossip Girl star has had the eventful time over there, as she told 2.4 million followers that she spent the night before the gig in hospital.
Last week on 8 April she first announced she'd been bitten and had been treated by a doctor, while joking about when her superpowers could kick in.

Momsen later wrote on Instagram: "So it wouldn't be an AC/DC tour if I didn't get bit…this time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night…add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl?"

Then taking to social media again on Tuesday (14 April), she shared a picture of her inflamed leg that had gotten worse, showing the bite and redness and swelling around it.
Momsen penned in the caption: "Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO. but the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City!"
The next morning, the singer issued an update by posting a selfie where she's holding a bag of ice on her head and wearing a face mask, while laying in a hospital bed.
She also included a video of herself being wheeled around the hospital, while the affected area of her leg was drawn over in marker pen.
Momsen revealed that she ended up having to stay overnight, writing in the caption: "Or I just spend the night in the hospital…thank you to the amazing doctors who, well, they know."

The singer made sure to include a slew of heart, spider, and thumbs down emojis.
However, the show went on and Momsen managed to get out on stage as planned, which prompted a wave of praise and questions from fans who were concerned about her health.
One Instagram user wrote: "This tour with AC/DC should be called Woman Vs. Wild. Mad respect for standing up on stage after a night at the hospital, you're probably built like a Terminator."
While a second added: "That's right Taylor, the show must go on and you are strong."
A third quipped: "After the show, go straight back to the hospital. Take care, that leg didn't look good at all."
And a fourth took a more lighthearted approach, joking: "She’s back!! A spider cannot take her down!!! She has risen."

Surprisingly, this isn't the first animal bite incident Momsen has faced while touring with AC/DC, as she suffered a bat bite in May 2024.
The flying creature actually on her leg mid-song on stage, which meant she had to get rabies shots for two weeks.
She captioned her Instagram post at the time with: "So… ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT…in Sevilla Wednesday during ‘Witches Burn' of all songs… a BAT flew onto me and clung to my leg…in the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing."
Momsen added: "He was cute, but yes he bit me…so rabies shots for the next two weeks."
