I’m A Celeb medics forced to intervene after Dec suffers unfortunate incident

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! medics were forced to intervene earlier this week, when Dec Donnelly suffered a spider bite.

While it's usually the celebrities being nipped by creepy crawlies during Bushtucker Trials, Dec ended up with a bite on his neck from a jumping spider.

Creepy crawlies are often a huge talking point of I'm A Celeb, with many of the campmates absolutely terrified of the critters.

Often, celebs will come face-to-face with a variety of bugs during Bushtucker Trials, meanwhile Ant and Dec are usually watching from the sidelines, safe from insects, reptiles and slime.

But earlier this week, Dec actually ended up being bitten by a spider on his neck, with medics having to intervene to make sure everything was okay.

Discussing on social media, Ant explained: "We've had quite a lot of drama not only on the show but off the show as well because Dec had a spider on his neck and was bitten by a spider and the medic was called in to have a look."

Dec added: "Look at that spider, it bit me on the neck.

"The medic said I was lucky to be alive. If I wasn't so fit and healthy, and masculine, I might not have survived."

Ant quickly jumped in, explaining: "No, she didn't, she said it was a jumping spider and it was absolutely fine."

Speaking of spiders, viewers watching Monday evening (2 December) were pretty grossed out when they saw yet another spider 'crawling all over Dec' during Tulisa's exit interview.

Hawk-eyed ITV viewers at home were quick to point out that, while Dec was chatting away, a spider crawled all over him - something they've since rushed to social media to point out.

One X user penned: "The spider on dec while talking to Tulisa..."

"There's a huge bug on Dec's jacket did you see that," quipped a second.

A third piped up: "Someone tell Dec there’s a spider on him."

Before leaving the jungle, Tulisa took part in a trial in which she ate two Huntsman spiders whole, which was pretty shocking for viewers at home.

One wrote: "Tulisa literally ate massive spiders and she's out?"

While another said: "Noooo - not ready to see Tulisa go yet. She ate Huntsman spiders, she was epic."

"Huge respect to Tulisa for doing the eating trial & eating 2 spiders," added another. "She's a machine! I couldn't do that, even if you offered me £1million!"
