Stanley Tucci has emotionally addressed the 21-year age gap between himself and his wife Felicity Blunt.
Speaking candidly in a new interview, The Hunger Games star opened up on one of the more difficult elements of being a different age to your partner.
For those not familiar with the couple, Stanley is 64, while wife Felicity, literary agent and sister of actress Emily Blunt, is 42-years-old.
The two met at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada, in which he played Nigel, costarring with Emily, who took on the role of Miranda Priestly's assistant, also called Emily.

They were then reintroduced four years later at Emily’s 2010 wedding to actor John Krasinski.
Tragically, Stanley's first wife Kate, whom he was married to for 14 years and shares three children with, died from breast cancer in 2009 at age 47.
He tied the knot with Felicity in 2012 and they went on to welcome two children - son Matteo, 10, in 2015 and daughter Emilia, 7, in 2018.

Now, lifting the lid on the couple's age gap, Stanley told The Times: "I am sad that I won’t see her get old and that I won’t be able to look after her if she needs looking after."
He added: "I think there’s something really beautiful about people ageing together. And unless there’s some miracle, that can’t happen.”
And it's not the first time Stanley has lifted the lid on the two-decade age gap.
In 2023, he admitted he once tried to break off their relationship out of fear it wouldn't work.

As per People, during an interview on BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs the actor said: "I was afraid to get into a relationship and I kept trying to break it off.
"I'm 21 years older than she is and I didn't want to feel old for the rest of my life!"
He added: "But I knew that this was an incredibly special person.”
Speaking of their relationship, he later said: “Felicity has been so incredible taking on a widower and three children whose mother died.

"That’s a huge thing, at a very young age too. If anybody made things better for all of us, it’s her. She’s the one."

During the new interview with The Times, the actor also discussed his health battle with throat cancer.
Stanley was diagnosed with the disease in 2017 and is now in remission after a series of surgeries and treatments.

He told the publication: “It was awful to go through it after my wife had died and friends had died, but I am happier than I was before.
"The only thing I’m not happy about is how hard it was for Felicity, who was giving birth while I was getting treatment. And, of course, it was hard for the kids.”
Stanley added: “I’m more clear-headed than I was before. I have a stronger sense of self. In 15 years I’ll be 80 years old and there’s a lot of stuff that I want to do before then.
"My family [has lived] a long time, and I’m hoping to live a long time.”
