Simon Cowell says he once spent £3,000,000 on ‘dancing vaginas’ party

Simon Cowell has shared tales from his wilder spending days, including forking out £3m for a 'dancing vaginas' birthday party and £2k to have a bath.

It's no secret that the music mogul and Britain's Got Talent judge, 66, has made a fortune with his various projects over the years, such as creating the X Factor franchises and running his music label, Syco Entertainment.

According to Forbes, his net worth is a whopping $51m, and that's after his extravagant parties and heavy spending sprees.

Cowell appeared on the first episode of Jamie East's brand new podcast, Tales from the Celebrity Trenches, on Wednesday (6 May) - and he certainly didn't hold back with the anecdotes.

He delved into the 'craziness' and the money he used to 'p*** away,' including the ahem, 'dancing vaginas,' and no, we still don't really know what this means.

Asked whether it's true that he once spent £3 million on 'burlesque dancing vaginas,' at his 50th birthday party, Cowell responded: "Absolutely correct. Those days are over, by the way."

He revealed: "I didn’t know it was going to cost that much, I really didn’t. I think I’m still paying for it now. I honestly couldn’t believe it."

Admitting it was a hazy night, he added, “I wish I could remember it. I honestly can’t. I remember taking, I think, half an Xanax before that because I was so anxious.

I really can't remember much other than that bit where the act came on, and my mum was sitting next to me with her vicar! She's like 'what's that', and I replied 'I think it's a mouth but wrong way round'. Who ordered that?"

I wish I could tell you what 'dancing vaginas' are, but I actually have no idea - my best guess would be burlesque dancers who are specifically dressed up as vaginas, but who knows!

Cowell also told the tale of the time he once paid a whopping £2,000 to check into the luxury London Mandarin Oriental hotel to take a bath because his was broken.

He said, “I might have done that. Do you know what I p***ed away so much money in hindsight. I do think about that, because my God, two grand on a bath?”

The music producer added, "I’m a bit more cautious now, I think, because I didn’t have a lot of money to start with.

“So when I started to make a lot of money, I’m like, ‘wow, this is fantastic’.

“And now I’m like, ‘God, why did I spend all that money?’ You know, all those lists, I’m not worth anywhere near that."
