It looks like Strictly judge Shirley Ballas has called off her wedding to her partner, having vowed to never marry again.

Ballas, 63, was previously married to former ballroom dancing star Sammy Stopford, later marrying second husband Corky Ballas in 1985 before splitting in 2007 after 22 years together.

It seemed like she might be walking down the aisle once again when she got secretly engaged to boyfriend Danny Taylor, now 50, who surprised her with a diamond ring back in 2021.

The rumours came after a loved-up Ballas revealed two years beforehand that she’d marry Taylor in a heartbeat, telling The Sun at the time: “I would marry him tomorrow, if he asked me. If this is what love is I have never experienced it before.

“I met him in late November and he was going through a difficult time with his ex. I met him at a difficult time in his life and we became friends first. We did not get together until February as a couple.”

Ballas admitted they struggle to balance their romance with their hectic careers - saying they'd spent two months apart in 2022 - and now appears to have done a total 180 on the marriage idea.

Speaking to Alan Carr on his Life’s a Beach podcast, she said she’s made a definitive choice to swerve marriage this time.

“Two marriages, an engagement, two long-term relationships later and I will not be getting married again,” she said.

“I’ve made a decision.”

Speaking about her relationship with men in general, she added: “My mum says they’re like buses - you get on one and you get off the other. It’s fine.

“I just have to get used to that again.”

Mind you, while the couple may not be tying the knot anymore, it looks like the relationship is still going strong, judging from a recent gushing post on Instagram.

Danny Taylor shared a sweet post about his missus a couple of weeks ago.

Taking to the platform on New Year’s Eve, Taylor shared a black-and-white photo with Ballas, with both all-smiles as they posed for the camera.

As part of a roundup reflecting on the year gone by, he took a moment to give a shout-out to his partner, writing: “Shirley B I've realised really is invincible who also became a Glam Mother whaaaheeyyy!”

Tyla has contacted a representative for Shirley Ballas for comment.
