Shania Twain has opened up about the extremely 'unexpected' series of events
If you think you and your significant other have a wild story about how you got together, let me tell you, it doesn't hold a candle to Shania Twain and her husband Frédéric.
Twain revealed she met her current husband in a very 'twisted' situation she never expected.
Now, the 'That Don't Impress Me Much' singer was married to record producer Robert 'Mutt' Lange back in 1993.

The pair relocated to Switzerland from Shania's home in Canada and welcomed their son Eja some years later in 2001.
But, in 2008, everything changed for Shania when rumours arose that Mutt had been having a secret affair with her close friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud.
That same year, Shania and Mutt announced their separation and their divorce was finalised two years later in 2010.
However, it's clear the situation definitely had its silver linings as, just a matter of months after the marriage officially ended in 2011, the 'Man! I Feel Like A Woman!' pop icon revealed that she was engaged to Frederic Thiebaud, a Swiss Nestle executive, who also happened to be Marie-Anne's ex-husband.

Shania later opened up about the bizarre situation on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she recalled: "I called [Marie-Anne] up. I wanted to give her the opportunity to tell me herself without me accusing her."
She called her and Fred's love story 'twisted, but so beautifully twisted' adding: "Holding each other up was a very difficult time emotionally for both of us. And we really found something very beautiful in the end and unexpected."
And as for Mutt?
Well, as of last year, Twain said he was still with Marie-Anne.
Shania and Fred are still happily married and, speaking to the Notebook in 2018, the singer gushed about how Fred 'makes me feel like a woman'.
She shared: "I've still got abs under the squish, although I hate the texture of my body now. But he says, 'I don't want to cuddle up to a man, I don't want rock-hard muscle.'
"I'm strong still, but there's a softness there now, and he likes it. It makes me feel womanly."
The Canadian has just made a special Las Vegas return for yet another round of shows.
She took to Instagram earlier this week to share a message with fans: "Oh yeahhhh it feels real good to be onstage in Vegas!!
"Last night was our first night back at @phlivevegas to kick off the second run of shows and you all did not disappoint… It was a joy to perform for y’all and to hear you sing every word back to me!"
