A human behaviour expert is said to have determined what nearly-weds Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco told one another on the red carpet of the 2025 Emmy Awards last night.
The big-name duo appeared outside of Los Angeles' Peacock Theatre, with the actress being nominated as part of the ensemble of Only Murders In The Building, which was up for Best Comedy Series. The show's lead, Martin Short, was also nominated for Best Actor in this category.
Gomez, 33, posed for fans and caught up with reporters ahead of the 77th annual ceremony, donning a floor-length Louis Vuitton gown.
Musician and producer Blanco, meanwhile, kept things low-key with a classic black tuxedo.

And as we say, a lip reading expert has since been analysing footage of the lucky-in-love duo, claiming she observed Blanco issuing his fiancé a cheeky two-word demand.

According to Nicola Hickling, who spoke to the Daily Express US today (15 Sept), the record producer firstly leaned into Gomez as the pair posed for professional pictures.
"Grab me," the expert believes he then told the Disney Channel alum, as if directing her to move closer towards him.

Responding, Gomez then slipped her arm behind Blanco, playfully taking ahold of his derriere.
The music man then laughed, 'Oh, stop it', after which Gomez also smiled.
The cheeky back and forth comes just weeks before the couple are reportedly duo to tie the knot, following the announcement of their engagement in December of last year.
According to TMZ, she and Blanco, 37, will marry in Montecito, California, at the end of September.

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon last week, Wizards of Waverley Place child star Gomez gave fans a glimpse into the couple's upcoming nuptials.

"It’s wonderful," she told the host of their plans. "I’m very lucky. It’s going well. I’m so excited."
This said, however, Gomez also told Jake Shane on his Therapuss podcast recently that she plans not to rush through the next stages of her life, adding: "I think there’s so much more I’m meant to learn and to do and will always be saying that no matter what age."

She continued: "I do feel, however, I’ve let a lot of things just slide off my back, if that makes sense. It’s not something that I try to do consciously.
"I do believe the older you get, the less you care about the things you thought you did before. So, it feels really great in my thirties.
"We’ve been doing the brand [Rare Beauty], and I got engaged, and my little sister is graduating sixth grade. All of those moments are things I’m going to cherish."
