Selena Gomez gives blunt response when asked how Benny Blanco proposed to her

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco sent the internet into a frenzy when they announced their engagement last December, with fans immediately digging into every detail of the proposal.
Singer Selena, 32, broke the news via social media, captioning a series of sweet Instagram snaps: “Forever begins now...”
The photos showed her sitting on a patch of grass surrounded by Taco Bell products, with one also giving us a close-up of her jaw-dropping new marquise diamond ring - which Benny had chosen in an ode to one of her chart-topping songs.
In their first interview together, the bride-and-groom-to-be opened up about the memorable occasion.

Speaking about her ring, Selena told Interview Magazine: “She’s a marquise. Ever since the ‘Good for You’ days — that was, gosh, so many years ago — that’s the diamond I’ve always dreamed of.”
Benny joked that he’d just tried ‘not to f**k it up’, recalling: “She showed me designs and I would always throw little hints. I’d be like, “Yeah, but if I ever made one, would you want it like this?” And then she changed her mind halfway through. It used to have huge baguettes on the side and then she was like, ‘I don’t want something that big.’”
He added: “So now I have extra baguettes and we’re going to make earrings for her. She basically has three wedding rings.”
But when asked about how Benny actually proposed, the couple were a little less willing to spill.
“That I want to save for our kids,” Selena replied.
But while she wasn’t prepared to share the juicy details, she teased: “It was really sweet and the right things were said.”
Benny said Selena had been so unaware of what he was planning that she started to get ‘upset’ with him.
“It was the sickest surprise that she had no idea about and it couldn’t have come at a better time because I was starting to f**k up,” he continued.
“The thing that makes me so crazy is, you’re getting engaged, and right before, they’re like, ‘Show me how good of a liar you are. Sneak around and try to do this perfect thing without me knowing.’
“At the end, she was starting to get upset because she was like, ‘Why aren’t you coming home tonight?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I’m just at my friends’.’ I almost did it early. But I nailed it, I think.”
