Having grown tired of being mum-shamed by online trolls, Rumer Willis has issued a pretty fiery message on her right to breastfeed.

Since welcoming her three-year-old daughter, Louetta, with former flame Derek Richard Thomas in 2023, the 37-year-old has supposedly been subjected to widespread criticism on social media.

Much of this came following her 2024 announcement that she and Thomas had parted ways.

After a fan clocked she'd posted her beau much less frequently than usual, and asked if they were still together, Rumer replied: "Nope I am single momming it and co-parenting. She [Louetta] is the best thing in my life and I am forever grateful I was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life."

Weeks later, she opened up on how online criticism has been affecting her, telling her followers: "Just had a good cry in the woods… some days being a single mom is hard. She is not hard (ever) but some days doing everything alone can be."

And by the sounds of her latest social media statement, she's well and truly had enough of the opinions of others - especially when they hinge on public breastfeeding.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday (4 Apr), the House Bunny actress shared a video of herself breastfeeding her daughter, captioned: "When someone starts judging my parenting."

The clip then transitioned into a meme, whereby a woman draws circles on a whiteboard. Pointing to one, she says, 'This is my business', and pointing to the other, she added, 'And this is yours'.

The lady then points back to the first circle, noting, 'I am here - the problem is, you are also here'. Turning her attention back to the second circle, she continues, 'When you need to be here'.

Unsurprisingly, Rumer's post quickly garnered huge amounts of praise from her followers, one of whom commented: "She’s making people accept long-term breastfeeding. Normal for thousands of years. Except the last 100, the years of marketing.

"I think it’s great seeing moms advocate for breastfeeding. At the end of the day, fed is best, however, I know a lot of women who quit nursing because of the lack of support from other women."
