Ruby Rose hospitalised after breaking several ribs in swimming pool incident

Following a painful poolside stumble, Ruby Rose has broken a number of her ribs.
The actress took to Instagram on Tuesday (30 Jun), where she confirmed she'd recently been rushed to the hospital after slipping from the ledge of her family pool, landing on her side as she fell.
In the caption of a story - over which the song 'There She Goes' by The La's played - Rose, 40, shared footage of the agonising-looking blunder, captioned: "RIP to my ribs, and to the rest of my summer. They are broken, multiple."
Following the fall, the Orange Is The New Black star could be seen desperately clutching the side of her torso.

She then drags herself to the side of the pool, wincing in pain.
Rose went on to joke in the caption: "Straight to the hospital, did not pass go or collect 200 dollars. That’s your girl!"
The Australian star also shared a deeper insight into the incident with her followers on Threads, claiming in a statement that she'd 'landed perfectly' on her right ribs, the bottom two of which had shattered.
"Please come and take me out. I brought this upon myself," Rose continued. "And now I have to breathe into a machine lol.
"What a bloody Monday."
The incident breakage marks the most recent in a string of injuries the Pitch Perfect 3 favourite has endured since taking to the spotlight.
While starring as Batwoman in her titular series between 2019 and 2020, Rose - who is famed for performing her own stunts - sustained two herniated discs, both of which required emergency surgery.
Comparing her poolside fall to the double disc disaster, she added on Threads: "I'm sorry, but what in the f**king dissociation and self abandonment did I do, to return to work on batwoman, the day after breaking my rib and neck.
"My rib was killing me!! I couldn’t feel my legs or hands; I was in a batsuit! I couldn't feel my legs or hands, I was in a batsuit!"
Rose continued: "I've just broken two ribs, falling into my own pool backwards, and you couldn't pay me to put a bra on, let alone stand up.
"Send good books and show recommendations; this is going to take many weeks."
