Orange Is the New Black actress Ruby Rose claimed officials once questioned her after a young boy she found in a ‘traumatic’ playground accident died on life support.
Earlier this week (29 September), the 40-year-old Australian made her podcast debut on Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Using the platform to discuss her rise to fame and eventual retreat from Hollywood, Rose also opened up about her childhood, recounting heavy teenage trauma that caused a ‘breakdown’.
She recalled that when she was 15, she and her mother, Katia Langenheim, joined her family at a social function held at a house in Australian bushland.

At one point, Rose escaped the fray with a friend to smoke a cigarette for the first time near a play area.

It was at this point that she spotted what appeared to be a doll on a playground slide.
“My friend and I locked eyes and we started walking towards it. As we got close enough, we could tell this was a real human - like a four-and-a-half-year-old.
“There was blood coming out of his ear, nose, mouth. It was very traumatic.”
Rose, who is set to compete on the fifth season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test with Selling Sunset’s Breana Tiesi and Full House star Candace Cameron Bure, claimed she took the kid into the home where adults attempted CPR.
“We called the ambulance, hospital, all of that. As I'm sort of going home, he's gone now with the ambulance,” she told the podcaster.
“And I'm thinking this is good, you know, he's going to be OK. Then I got a call saying that he probably wouldn't be OK.”
Sadly, Rose was later informed that the boy died; she claimed he had been ‘brain dead for so long’, with doctors opting to pull him off life support.
Cops soon rocked up to her school to question her about the death. Rose said this led her peers to nickname her ‘baby killer’.
She claimed the teasing moniker took a serious toll on her wellbeing.
“I was just breaking down left, right and centre,” Rose shared. “[I thought], 'I cannot go to this school and I cannot be bullied for something like this.' Everything else, I didn't care, but this…”
The Batwoman icon went on to say that the young boy’s brother, who was seven at the time, later remembered that his sibling’s sweater got caught on the side of the playground slide and they were unable to free him.

Rose claimed that the details only came to light after the child came out of an episode of dissociative amnesia — a condition where an individual forgets information due to stress or trauma of an event, as reported by USA Today.
“He finally had the memory, went back to the police and thank goodness told them, because they didn't think it was me anyway, but that doesn't always happen,” she confessed.
“Then I was cleared, but [the children's mother] still didn't want me at the funeral. So, everyone else went except for me.”
