He might be part of the world's most famous celebrity family, but Rob Kardashian claims he's desperate for a peaceful life.
Giving a rare interview this week, the 38-year-old reality star reflected on his decision to take a step back from his sisters' fame and fortune back in 2017, and revealed what sparked it.
For those in need of a reminder, Rob is the younger brother of Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, as well as the elder half-brother of Kendall and Kylie Jenner. His parents are the late lawyer Robert Kardashian, and much-loved 'momager', Kris Jenner.
The only boy in the brood, Rob featured heavily in his families original noughties series Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Rob's on-screen stints also saw him cast as a contestant in the 2011 series of Dancing With The Stars, as well as Fox's hit dating series The Choice a year later.

KUWTK also covered the birth of his eight-year-old daughter Dream, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna.
This major milestone itself prompted the production of the E! spin-off show Rob & Chyna, which ran for one series in 2016.

Following the success of the special, however, the father-of-one made the shock decision to remove himself from the spotlight.
Whilst making an appearance on his big sister's show Khloe In Wonderland around the same time, Rob cited issues with body confidence.
He asked her in an emotional confession at the time: "I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I want to go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in when that’s not what I want to do?"
Rob has famously battled both his fluctuating weight and mental health issues over the years, both on the show and in private.

Speaking to E! News this week, he reaffirmed his reasoning, insisting his departure from television had nothing to do with a fall-out with his sisters behind the scenes.

"There’s definitely nothing wrong between any of us," Rob claimed. "It just has everything to do with myself."
He went on to insist: "I love filming if it’s positive and natural and I’m feeling good about myself.

"I like being around my family so that stuff is good to me."
Despite claiming he's open to a return to television some time in the future, Khloe, 41, previously admitted she can't see that happening.
In a confessional featured on The Kardashians in 2023, the mother-of-two confessed: "I do think Rob would come back to the show.
"He talks about it a lot, he does, but I do know that Rob has been through a lot personally."

Khloe admitted, however, that her younger brother was doing well out of the limelight.
“He's literally the best dad I know and I'm so proud of him for that,” she gushed. “And I know that he is feeling really good about himself and I'm happy for him.”
