Raven-Symoné have left fans pretty divided after making a pretty bold claim about the sexuality of The Cheetah Girls character she played back in the 2000s.

Fans of the now 39-year-old former Disney Channel star will know all about the hit 2003 family flick - which went on to have two more instalments in the film saga - which followed the lives of four teen girls; Galleria, Chanel, Aqua, and Dorinda.

In the latest episode of The Jason Lee Show podcast, Raven-Symoné - who has openly stated her non-binary identity and uses she/her pronouns - opened up a little more about her and shared her thoughts on whether or not she thought her her character, Galleria Garibaldi, was gay.

Claiming that the character Galleria showed hints of queerness, the actress said per That Grape Juice: "She showed signs of being low suspect."

Responding to the Raven-Symoné's Cheetah Girls theory, one social media user hit out: "No she didn’t come on."

"She just made that up," declared a second, while a third jabbed: "Girl Disney made them calls … not you sweetheart."

A fourth penned: "Raven I LOVE you Galleria had a whole man in both movies don’t PMO."

Others, however, found it interesting to look back at some of our childhood go-to viewing material in a 'new lens' following the star's recent comments.

"So interesting to look back and analyse characters through a new lens!" penned a fifth X user.

And a sixth chimed in: "Interesting take from Raven-Symoné, it's always cool when characters have layers that can be interpreted in different ways.

"Love how she’s reflecting on those roles now!

"I see it lmao," agreed another and a final X user similarly echoed: "I always thought so too!!"

Elsewhere the podcast, Raven-Symoné opened up about getting a breast reduction at the age of 15 - something which podcast host Lee said seemed 'abusive'.

"You had to get a breast reduction in lipo [liposuction] at 15," Lee said. "That's like, psychologically and physically, in my mind, abusive."

The actress replied: "I'm writing a memoir."

Lee continued, asking her: "How do you survive all that and still be normal though?"

"I've had multiple issues," Raven-Symoné candidly shared before adding that she's currently in therapy working on 'undoing' and 'reworking' in order 'to get ready for what this book will say and what is the truth that was my life that nobody knew.'
