Pete Davidson has explicit response to Pedro Pascal hate

The former SNL star, 31, defended the Game of Thrones star, 50, during a recent podcast appearance

Pete Davidson furiously called out Pedro Pascal haters during his latest podcast appearance, where he discussed how fast Hollywood can 'turn' on you.

The 31-year-old comedian is no stranger to the limelight, as he shot to instant fame after joining the cast of Saturday Night Live in 2014, when he was 20 years old.

Since then, he's appeared in a number of movies and TV shows and has had several high-profile relationships with fellow celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Ariana Grande.

Appearing on Theo Von's podcast on Tuesday, the actor discussed some of the highs and lows of fame, including how quickly you can go from being loved to being hated.

He used Pedro Pascal as an example, who reached huge stardom as the lead in The Last of Us back in 2023.

Before this, Pascal, 50, had gained a following for his roles as Oberyn Martell in Game Of Thrones (2014), Javier Peña in Narcos (2015), and the titular character Din Djarin in The Mandalorian (2019).

The actor has become a household name around the world in recent years and has amassed a humongous fanbase.

However, Pascal faced quite a bit of backlash in July as people began to accuse him of being too affectionate with his female co-stars, such as Fantastic Four's Vanessa Kirby.

But there was actually no evidence he was doing anything wrong, and Kirby herself had nothing but praise for her co-star.

He later revealed that sometimes he uses physical touch as a way of coping with anxiety in certain situations, telling Men’s Health: “I was always one to reach out when I’m facing something that is challenging or making me anxious.”

Meanwhile, other people appear to be getting annoyed that the actor is landing so many gigs.

At the time, one fan called out the random slew of hate and wrote: "Pedro Pascal hate campaign that suddenly sprung up overnight has got to be the most obviously coordinated and botted attack I've ever seen."

And now, Davidson has also thrown in his two cents, making sure to defend the Hollywood actor.

During the podcast appearance, the SNL star said: "Look at Pedro Pascal right now. He’s worked so hard, he’s been a struggling actor, blows up so f**king hard, everyone’s like ‘daddy!'

"And then a year later he’s like in everything now because he’s big and everyone’s like ‘go the f**k away dude!"

Baffled, he questioned: "It’s like, what the f**k dude? You’ve got to give someone time to adjust to that new level of fame.

"He's been banging at it for thirty years now. He's learning how to go get a cup of coffee or deal with someone who taps you on the shoulder while you have your earbuds in and freaks you out.

"You've gotta give that guy a f***ing second to adjust, do you know what I mean?"

Davidson added: "It’s like we build everybody up and now it’s so fast to turn [on them]. Bro it's like within months, where you're like, what the f**k happened?"

And it looks like social media is in agreement.

One Twitter user wrote: "I agree 100% with this. The guy spent years making no money and gets offered so much in his late 40's. Of course he has to capitalise and strike while the iron is hot."

While a second penned: "Pete's got a point, Pedro Pascal earned his moment but the internet never lets anyone enjoy success."

And a third added: "Everyone builds you up just to kick you down the moment you leave indie hell."
