Nicolas Cage sued by ex over son’s alleged assault as she makes shocking claims about actor

Nicolas Cage's ex has sued the star after their son allegedly assaulted her, following claims he ignored his son's 'serious and imminent danger' to others.
Christina Fulton has alleged that her son, Weston Coppola Cage, 33, physically assaulted her during an altercation between them on 28 April 2024.
His dad Nicolas Cage is now being sued by his former partner, over allegations that he failed to stop the behaviour from escalating. His lawyers have called the filing 'absurd'.
The mum-of-one, 57, noted that she had been 'brutally assaulted' by Weston, who she claims 'desperately needs' help with his mental health.

In the lawsuit against Nicolas, 61, she accuses her ex of aiding their son's unhealthy habits and dangerous behaviour, instead of helping to put a stop to them.
The documents read: "Weston has a long history of mental and psychological disorder and a history of committing violent assault and battery and harming numerous individuals.
"Nicolas has been aware of Weston's history and nevertheless failed to take action to prevent Weston from committing acts of violence and harming others."
It also states that the dad has bailed his son out of jail on multiple occasions, and enjoys alcohol with the 33-year-old, despite being aware of his 'substance abuse history'.
Fulton alleged that she was left with 'severe and life threatening injuries' following the attack by her son.
It took place in the lift area, lobby and parking lot of his apartment block.
Her injuries included brain concussion, multiple contusions, a disfiguring eye injury, dental trauma, PTSD and psychological damages.
Documents state that her injuries meant that she required 'extensive medical care, surgeries, and treatments'.
The lawsuit added: "Nicolas knew or should have known that Weston posed a serious and imminent danger to others, based on his documented history of violent assaults, substance abuse, and mental instability."
It states that Nicolas failed to ensure his son got necessary 'psychiatric' help, following a series of red flags that further added to his 'reckless' behaviour.
The Longlegs star also reportedly paid for his son's condo in Los Angeles, which is next door to the actor's.
The pair welcomed Weston in December 1990, but they split soon after his birth.
Weston pleaded not guilty in July 2024 to attacking his mother.
A spokesperson for Nicolas Cage told Tyla: "The allegations by Christina Fulton against Nicolas Cage are absurd and frivolous.
"Weston Coppola is a 34-year-old man. Mr. Cage does not control Weston's behavior in any manner and is not responsible for Weston's alleged assault of his mother."
