Nicolas Cage and wife Riko announce they have welcomed their first child together
Congrats, Nick and Riko!
Nicolas Cage has officially confirmed that he and his wife Riko Cage have welcomed their first child together.
The couple, who have been married for almost two years, welcomed their daughter August Francesca Coppola Cage on Wednesday, 7 September.
A representative for the Raising Arizona actor assured fans that both mother and baby were "doing fine."

The spokesperson told People: "Nicolas and Riko are happy to announce the birth of their daughter. Mother and daughter are doing fine."
Baby August is Riko's first child, and Nicolas's third child. He is also father to son Weston, 31, who he shares with ex girlfriend, Christina Fulton, and Kal-El, 16, who he shares with ex-wife Alice Kim.
Cage met Riko Shibata back in 2020 while filming Prisoners Ghostland in Japan. Riko had been cast in the horror film alongside Nicolas, playing one of the four Mannequin Women, and it wasn't long before the two hit it off.
In February 2021, Nicolas and Riko tied the knot at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, where she took his last name.
For the ceremony, Riko wore a black Japanese Bridal Kimono with her long jet-black hair draped over her shoulders, while Nicolas wore a Tom Ford tuxedo.
A few months after they exchanged their vows, the couple made their red carpet debut together for the film premiere of Pig.
In January 2022, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show in April, the Ghost Rider star confirmed that the baby was going to be a girl.
"I'm gonna have a little girl," he told Clarkson and her viewers at the time. "I'm thrilled. It's going to be the biggest adventure of my life."
Riko is Nick Cage's fifth wife.
Nicolas was first married to actress Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, then Lisa Marie Presley from 2002 to 2004.
The actor was also married to actress Alice Kim from 2004 to 2016, then to Erika Koike for a period of four days in March 2019 before filing for an annulment.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times earlier this year, Nicolas said that he feels like he "got it right" the fifth time around.
He said: "I'm really happily married. I know five is a lot... But I think I got it right this time."
