Fans of actor Neil Patrick Harris are convinced one of his children resembles his husband, David Burtka, more than the other.
The confession comes after the star shared a photograph on social media that made users ‘feel really old’.
52-year-old Harris and Burtka, 50, are the parents of 14-year-old twins Gideon Scott Burtka-Harris and Harper Grace Burtka-Harris.
The pair were welcomed into the world in October 2010 via a surrogate. At the time, two eggs were implanted inside the woman’s womb - one fertilised by Harris’ sperm and the other by Burtka.

They’ve maintained they have ‘no interest in [finding out]’ whose child is whose.
Over the years, the famous faces have shared intimate family updates with fans, including the devastating news that their dog had died.
Last week, the American couple shared another family milestone on Instagram: the twins’ looming first day at high school.

“The kids are entering high school this year (how wait what??), and they are at last allowed to rid themselves of their Chromebook anchors and ascend to the world of the MacBook. Huzzah!” the How I Met Your Mother star wrote.
The caption was shared alongside a picture of Harper and Gideon smirking at each other over the top of a grey and black Apple laptops.
The comments have erupted, with many Instagram users saying there’s ‘no way’ Harris’ kids are old enough to attend high school this September.
“Hey, I’m pretty sure they were just toddlers a few weeks ago, so there’s no way,” said one fan.

A second replied: “This looks like the opener for a new Disney Channel show!”
“And I was just about going into high school when they were born. the time how she flies,” remarked someone else.
A fourth Instagram user, however, has used the image to comment on Harper and Gideon’s parentage.

“No doubt what so ever whose kid is whose biologically lol,” they replied.
While the user didn’t exactly outline whose child they thought was probably born from whose fertilisation, fans have previously had their say.
On older photos of the twins, people have wrote that ‘Gideon looks more like David’, while his sibling ‘looks like NPH’.
Another user added: “I think [Harper’s] Neil’s & [Gideon’s] David’s lol.”

Someone else commented: “I agree! The boy looks just like David!!”
Meanwhile, one fan penned: “Aw, they’re adults now I knew Gideon would look like you but wow. Beautiful preteen adults.”
Others, however, aren’t as fussed as to whose child is biologically whose, with some claiming: “How is it that they honestly look like both of you?! They're gorgeous.”
Another said: “These two are so similar to both, it’s impossible to tell who’s biologically who’s. That’s so cool.”
Despite not knowing whose child is whose, Harris has previously admitted that he and his spouse have suspicions based on their kids’ behaviours.
Neither of the pair has ever voiced these opinions, so we’ll just have to keep guessing for now!
