MrBeast has left some of his fans seriously confused after admitting he’s 'borrowing money' for his wedding, despite being one of the richest YouTubers.
If you regularly use YouTube - or any social media platform for that matter - the chances are you've probably come across MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, before.
The 27-year-old is best known for pioneering an entire genre of YouTube videos that revolve around some very elaborate stunts, travel deep dives, and viral challenges.

And, according to Forbes, he is one of the top earners on YouTube with his main channel boasting more than 320 million subscribers.

He also has more than 500 million followers across social media, making him the most followed creator in the world - making the $85 million in yearly earnings as a content creator hardly a surprise.
However, it would appear as if even the most wealthy people out there still fall back on their folks when it comes to their finances, with MrBeast recently revealing that he's asked his mother to help chip in for his upcoming wedding with fellow YouTuber and content creator, Thea Booysen.

Replying to a tweet posted by Dexerto posted last month (22 May), which shared 'MrBeast is now the only billionaire under 30 to not have inherited his wealth', the YouTuber revealed: "I personally have very little money because I reinvest everything."
He went on to add that, this year, he plans to spend 'around a quarter of a billion on content', before adding: "Ironically i’m actually borrowing $ from my mom to pay for my upcoming wedding lol."

MrBeast finished off by acknowledging: "But sure, on paper the businesses I own are worth a lot."

"How can a wealthy person borrow money from their mom?" questioned one fan.
A second chimed in: "When you're spending 250 mil on content, borrowing for your own wedding is crazy. Write yourself a check?"
"That’s a really stupid and lame thing to do when your worth hundreds of millions," hit out a third. "It’s ok to take money from your businesses."
This is far from the first time MrBeast has openly discussed common misconceptions about his wealth and explained why he only keeps a small percentage of liquid cash in his bank compared to his colossal earnings.

Business Insider reported back in April of this year that the viral star 'tends to reinvest his earnings in his businesses'.
While MrBeast's net worth is unknown, he did reveal in a February interview on the Diary Of A CEO podcast that while he's a billionaire on paper, he has less than $1 million in his bank account.

Such a confession would imply that MrBeast's stake in Beast Industries comprises much of his net worth.
Regardless, having circa one milli in the bank is still a hefty amount, if you ask us!
