Megan Fox has responded to 'AI' claims on her latest selfie with a savage six-word comeback.

The Transformers star took to Instagram yesterday (17 April) to share with her 21.8 million followers a snap of her locks after living it up at Coachella.

Fox uploaded a mirror selfie opting for a slightly more natural look in the makeup department captioning the post: "Repairing my hair (and 26 inches of extensions) post Coachella."

However, some people were clearly fuming over the selfie with many taking it upon themselves to take a swipe at the actor with some claiming the pic was a work of a 'filter' and even 'AI'.

".....I didn't know who the hell I was looking at until I read the account name.....wtf???" hit out one Instagram user.

A second piped up: "That’s one hell of a filter."

"This is not Megan Fox.. is it a filter? Or AI?" speculated a third.

"This does not look like Megan Fox AT ALL. AI doing its thing again," slammed a fourth Instagram user to which Fox hit back, assuring critics this was far from the case.

"Go ask @machinegunkelly if this is ai," she wrote.

Ouch.

Others, however, rushed in to defend Fox with one Instagram user praising: "My jaw? On the floor!"

"Beautiful as always," penned a second while a third gushed: "Wow you are gorgeous!"

"She is stunning without makeup," complimented another while a final Instagram user echoed: "She looks way prettier without makeup.

"Omg. Gorgeous regardless but she looks so great here!"

The 37-year-old recently announced that she and 33-year-old MGK - real name Colson Baker - wouldn't be going ahead with their wedding after months of speculation.

At the invite-only Revolve Festival in Coachella Valley, the mum-of-three spoke to broadcaster Erin Lim Rhodes about relationships.

She told the host of E! News’ The Rundown: "I don't know if I'm the best person to give advice, because my advice is like just learn a skill or develop a hobby, and do not waste your energy on boys.

"All they're going to do is drain you. Just move on. Invest in yourself."

However, it seems as if there is no bad blood between Megan and her 'twin flame' as she shouted him out later on in the interview.

When asked who her ideal Coachella headliners would be, the Jennifer’s Body actress said: “Well, obviously, I have to say Machine Gun Kelly.

"I'm not in the modern era, so I would say, Guns N' Roses or, you know who I would love to see, is Weezer. Weezer's so fire."
