Coachella kicked off over the weekend and, since then, there's been absolutely no shortage of festival drama.

From fans praising Kesha after changing the lyrics to 'TiK ToK', while others fumed at Justin Bieber after making a surprise performance to Billie Eilish fans being sent into a total frenzy after she released a snippet of her spicy new song - it's clear the Coachella chaos is no where near finished.

And the latest buzz online sees likes of Canadian musician, Grimes, issue an apology following her 'disaster' set that's since been branded the 'worst of all time'.

On Saturday (13 April), the 'Genesis' singer was forced to navigate through what seemed to be pretty 'major technical difficulties'.

The 36-year-old told the crowd that her songs were playing at double speed.

Speaking to her fans whilst on stage in the middle of her set she explained: "All my tracks are double tempo and I can’t do the math.

"They’re borderline un-mixable, so the rest of my set won’t be mixes but it’ll still be fun."

Footage from the event has since circulated across social media with many slamming Grimes for the way she handled the situation.

One X, formerly Twitter, user hit out: "Dude this Grimes set is a disaster."

"Not Grimes blaming everyone else for her disaster of a set," slammed a second.

A third piped up: "That Grimes stuff at Coachella is shockingly bad. Basic stuff went wrong."

"... Grimes had the worst Coachella performance of all time," added a fourth.

A final critic quipped: "'All my tracks are twice as fast' - a DJ with basic experience could work out how to slow them down... embarrassing."

Others, however, were slightly more sympathetic: "Watching the Grimes Coachella set and I actually feel bad for her. Such a disaster!"

"She handled it like a pro, I would be having a panic attack," praised another.

Then, on Sunday (14 April), Grimes took to Twitter to share a lengthy statement

following the whole ordeal.

She began: "I want to apologise for the technical issues with the show tonight.

"I wanted to come back rly strong and usually I always handle every aspect of my show myself."

Grimes, who was once married to Elon Musk, went on to explain that this particular set was 'one of the first times' she 'outsourced essential things' in order to 'save time'.

One of these 'essential things' was 'letting someone else organise the tracks on the SD card'.

"I had a bad feeling beforehand not having run everything thru the cdjs myself and tho I flagged it I wasn't insistent," she continued before writing down the 'big lesson' she learnt.

She said it was a 'mix of': "1 if u want it done right, do it yrself, 2 be a c*nt even if ppl feel bad, 3 probably pretend it's fine and engage w the crowd rather than spend a whole show slumped over the desk trying to fix software when ur meant to be entertaining."

Grimes then assured fans she would 'personally organise' all her files for the next weekend, adding: "I will not let such a thing happen again.

"I've spent months on this show, making music and visuals, and admittedly am not in the best mood atm.

"But, yeh - next week will be flawless, everything will run thru my hands."

She finished up the tweet reiterating there were 'some good lessons learned'.

"Bless y'all. The cdjs were showing me bpms like 370 so I couldn't even mix manually by ear and the front monitors were off so it was literally sonic chaos on my end trying to guess how stuff was sounding for u guys.

"Plz forgive me! Love, always."
