Marvin Humes reveals surprising location he took wife Rochelle on first date

JLS singer Marvin Humes had already cemented himself as a firm favourite of this year's I'm A Celebrity line-up - and the show is only four episodes in!

Amid the controversial Fred Sirieix vs. Nella Rose feud that appears to be rolling on, many viewers of the show have been delighted to get to know former X Factor star Marvin on a deeper level.

During his time in the jungle so far, we've already seen the singer and radio DJ teaching Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson how to perform the iconic 'She Makes Me Wanna' dance routine.

And we've caught wind of a secret signal that The Hit List host keeps repeating, which appears to be a message to his television presenter wife and their three children, watching from home.

In fact, a source previously told The Sun that Marvin's uber loved-up relationship with The Saturdays' Rochelle that made him such a sought-after star for the show before the line-up was even revealed.

"Marvin would be a brilliant signing," the publication claimed. "Not only is he known to fans of The X Factor and fans of JLS, but the audience for The Hit List and This Morning spans from kids right through older viewers.

"And with Rochelle's backing, he's got a ready-made fan base. He'll have lots of showbiz stories to tell, too, from his 15 years in the limelight."

During last night's instalment, Marvin opened up about his love for his wife, with whom he tied the knot back in 2012.

Catching up with Chelsea boy Sam and First Dates star Fred whilst relaxing at the Aussie camp's creek, the trio began reminiscing on their very own first dates.

It was then that Marvin revealed the somewhat bleak location he took Rochelle when first trying to woo her.

"I met Rochelle when JLS and The Saturdays were doing shows together," he explained. I’d always said to the boys, ‘I really like her, I think she’s hot’.

"We went to a nightclub in Ireland after doing a show together one night and we were just chatting, getting on really well. She went to the toilet, right? She left her handbag at the table with me.

"So then, I thought, right, got her phone out and called myself so I had her phone number. It took about three months of pestering her to get a date."

Marvin - who with Rochelle shares daughters Alaia-Mai, ten, and Valentina Raine, six, as well as three-year-old son Blake Hampton laughs: "[Our first date was] McDonald’s car park in Wembley… that was our first date.

"Here we are 13 and a bit years later, three kids… I’m very, very lucky."

Posh lad Sam then goes on to reveal that his Love Island girlfriend Zara McDermott had actually made the first move by sliding into his DMs before the duo went out for a drinks and dinner date.

And speaking of the moment he fell in love with his partner 'Fruitcake', restauranteur Fred added: "I met her in Peckham... I was walking up and she was smiling at me and I was smiling at her and I liked her eyes...

"I just had to talk to her… I asked for her number, I said, ‘Shall we go for a drink tonight?’ That was 9 years ago. We’re getting married next year in Jamaica."
