Any film fanatics out there have been absolutely loving tuning into the 77th Cannes Film Festival which kicked off last week (14 May) and is set to come to an end on Saturday (25 May).

Yesterday (21 May) saw the exciting premiere of the French-Italian comedy film written and directed by Christophe Honoré named Marcello Mio.

The celebs in attendance included the absolutely gorgeous Kelly Rowland who stunned in a beautiful strapless red floor-length gown with a statement silver necklace and pointed silver heels to match.

While walking up the red carpet, however, the Destiny's Child star appeared to get into a heated exchange with a security guard.

In videos circulating across social media, the 'Dilemma' singer can be seen smiling and walking up the red carpet stairs while the paparazzi did their thing.

However, at one point, a woman could be seen hurrying her along with an extended arm before Kelly turns around and has a discussion with her, pointing her finger while firmly speaking to her.

She then carries on walking up the stairs before turning back to the security guard to address her once again and fans have since rushed to X to share their reactions to the heated exchange.

One penned: "It was very clear Kelly Rowland was trying to take photos and they were rushing her then that security guard stepped on her dress and Kelly tried to correct her nicely and the security guard decided to be rude and Kelly said 'Don’t talk to me like that'."

"Do you understand how out of pocket you have to be for Kelly Rowland to have to check you?!" wrote a second. "Literally, one of the sweetest people in the world, but don't get it twisted. What y'all think she said? I think she said, 'Don't talk to me like that... I'm not a child'."

And a third claimed the Grammy award-winning artist said: "Don’t talk to me like that. Don’t talk to me like that. You’re not my momma. I told you not to talk to me like that."

This, however, has not been confirmed.

An insider reportedly told MailOnline: "The people who are assigned to helping stars walk the red carpet were being aggressive and Kelly was trying to ignore it.

"By the time she got to the last woman she had had it because she scolded Kelly and told her to move when she was trying to wave to fans and help the paparazzi get their shot."

The source continued: "She doesn’t care if she comes across like a diva if she knows that she is advocating for herself. She isn’t fake and wanted to set a clear boundary."

Tyla has reached out to Kelly Rowland's representatives for comment.
