Having had a few days with their baby, the couple finally felt ready to share the news with the world.

In fact, the former TV star shared a touching Instagram caption about her newborn - even revealing her name.

She wrote: "Shae Ferdinand... 10.7.23 Our strong little girl."

The couple first announced they were expecting in January, with a stunning photo of Ferdinand in a town square cradling her bump - which was later shared on social media.

Her joy was clear, with the TOWIE star beaming for the camera in the announcement, having had a 'devastating' miscarriage only a year earlier.

Her and husband Rio had been looking forward to growing their family, with the couple first marrying in 2019 and welcoming their son Cree shortly after this.

Touchingly, the two-year-old's hand could also be seen in the picture, as they announced the birth of their second child.

Well-wishers have also been flocking to the comment, as they congratulate the 32-year-old and her other half.

After her tragic loss last year, Kate Ferdinand has been sharing pregnancy updates on social media.

Many of the comments have come from her former TOWIE castmates, including Jess Wright and Georgia Kousoulou.

Gushing about the beautiful newborn, the latter wrote: "Awwwww congratulations' followed by a lot of heart emojis."

TOWIE's matriarch, Debbie Bright, also added: "Omg huge congratulations to you all. Blessed with the best."

Fellow yummy mummy Billie Shepherd also shared her excitement, with the Mummy Diaries star writing: "Congratulations to you all."

The news has also delighted Kate's followers on Instagram, as she'd previously kept her due date a secret.

Alongside her regal bump updates, she teased when she would give birth during an Instagram Q&A in May.

In an interview with The Sun, the busy mum also revealed she was enjoying her second pregnancy more.

Before giving birth to Cree, the then-mum-to-be had been expecting over lockdown and experienced intense anxiety because of the pandemic.

However, she revealed that her latest pregnancy was much more enjoyable, saying: "It feels completely different this pregnancy."

She added: "I’ve been really busy, working a lot, and I feel relaxed. Cree’s settled in so well."
