Spencer Matthews shares sad update following birth of fourth child with Vogue Williams
Spencer Matthews has opened up about struggling with ‘loneliness’ after welcoming his fourth child with Vogue Williams.
The former Made in Chelsea star, 38, and 40-year-old podcast host, who are already parents to children Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three, announced the birth of their baby boy, Remy Valentine Matthews, a week ago in a sweet Instagram post.
And now, Spencer has shared a candid update while appearing on his pal Jamie Laing’s NewlyParents podcast.
The father-of-four admitted that their ‘love bubble’ feels a ‘bit disturbed’ and revealed that he and Vogue both feel ‘a bit lonely at the moment’.

He explained: "Not complaining, we are in that lovely bubble with three other young kids in a rental house because we're building our house. To be honest, the bubble feels a bit disturbed.”
Spencer added: “Vogue and I both, in our own ways, feel a bit lonely at the moment,” and outlined that he’s currently sleeping in the spare room with the boys while Vogue sleeps with the newborn.
“For us both to have broken sleep is unhelpful to the rest of the family flow,” he continued.
The reality TV star elaborated: “We don’t sleep next to each other. I’m out. I’m working. Vogue’s more at home at the moment. I come home in the evening, and we might have an hour together.
“We’ll eat something and maybe put something on TV, but she’s tired and so am I. So, she goes to bed separately to me.”
He confessed: “I don't really like sleeping separately to her. We like being next to each other. Even if you're not communicating, you're together.
“At the moment it feels a bit fractured. It sort of feels like you've fallen out because you're staying in [another] room.”
Host Jamie, who welcomed his first son, Ziggy, with his wife Sophie Habboo last year, agreed that things change when you become a parent, and he’s struggled with ‘not being a couple’ because you’re so focused on your child.
Spencer agreed: “That's a very real thought that I have quite a lot of the time. Eight years ago we had no kids, now we have four kids.'
“So your life, whether you like it or not, is all about the kids... Any freedom that you enjoy as a, dare I say, successful couple that should be able to just do stuff, you kind of can't.”
The TV star explained that he is ‘in charge’ of their three older kids in the mornings, with the help of their nanny, while Vogue is on baby-feeding duty, as well as catching up on sleep after night feeds.
Spencer admitted that his wife 'has got the hardest job,' and admitted that he 'would really struggle with having the baby on me all of the time.'
Vogue opened up on the same topic recently in an interview with Grazia, where she also reflected on becoming a mum-of-four and how it’s impacted their relationship.
She reflected: “We try our best. We've had two gym dates this week and then we'll grab a bite to eat after. He's busy as well, but I think it's super important. We love hanging out with each other; he's one of my best pals.’
