Justin Timberlake once said that his famous sex scenes with Mila Kunis were 'annoying to film' and 'made him so tired'.

Words we're sure that every actor wants to hear from their co-star about their intimate scenes...

The 44-year-old pop star and 42-year-old actress had to get comfortable with each other as they shot their popular 2011 rom-com Friends with Benefits.

For those unfamiliar with the flick, it follows two best pals - Dylan Harper (Timberlake) and Jamie Rellis (Kunis) - who meet in New York City, and quickly turn their friendship up a notch, promising that it won't lead to any feelings of complications.

If you've somehow not seen it, we won't spoil it for you, but we're sure you can all guess how it ends!

Anyway, as to be expected, the movie includes a lot of X-rated action, which can be awkward to get right when you've got a huge crew and a circle of cameras and production lights around you.

Even the most famous of celebrity actors have varying opinions on filming raunchy scenes, often finding them awkward and uncomfortable.

Speaking of her Wolf of Wall Street sex scene with Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie once told Vanity Fair: "Tons of people are watching you. It’s so awkward. It’s just like, this is what you need to do - get on with it. The sooner you do it, the sooner you can stop doing it."

And it seems that Timberlake was of a similar opinion, revealing that these kinds of moments can take up to 12 hours to film.

He told the BBC back in 2011: "It's actually kind of annoying, you're there for 12 hours, it's exhausting. All those scenes revolve around the dialogue and physical humour is so tiring."

The actor added that it's probably his age 'that makes him so tired'.

Meanwhile, Kunis also gave her thoughts and quipped: "It was fun and embarrassing. I'm just happy it was with Justin."

Timberlake also took the opportunity to joke about his dream role, which would allow him to get some much-needed shut eye after 12 hours in the sheets.

In the same interview, he told the broadcaster that if he could be in any film, it would be as 'narcoleptic' - someone with a neurological disorder that leads to excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden sleep attacks.

The star mused: "I have a lot of catching up [on sleep] to do."

And speaking of the famous movie, the director Will Gluck said he wanted to make a 'fresh' take on the classic rom-com.

He explained: "We all want to go out and fall in love - that's very cliched - but I think you can play with situations that are cliched, as long as you comment on the fact.

"Every time Dylan and Jamie get to a moment in their relationship that seems familiar, the character comments on it I walked the line between that and reality."
