Reality TV star Collin Gosselin has shared a veiled critique of his mother on social media ahead of the release of his debut tell-all memoir.
The Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 22, took to Instagram on Saturday (27 Jun), where he fired what fans believe to be a dig at 51-year-old Kate Gosselin, who is expected to feature heavily in Collin's upcoming release.
Collin teased the book, titled In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, online earlier this month by revealing a first-look at its cover.
It showed him as a child at a time when his mother and father, Kate and Jon Gosselin - whose hit TV show followed their lives as an atypical family of sextuplets and twins - were at the height of their fame. In the picture, Kate is seen holding her hand over Collin's mouth.

Kate and John split in 2009, after which she was awarded custody of Collin and his Mady, Cara, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel.

In 2016, the mother-of-10 sent her son to a behavioural health institution, alleging Collin had been demonstrating 'unpredictable and violent behaviour'.
Two years later, Jon was granted custody of Collin, and the teenager exited the program his mother had subscribed him to.
Since then, Collin has candidly come forward on several occasions to discuss the highs and lows of being a child in the spotlight, as well as the treatment he has endured from his parents.
"For a long time, I wasn't sure I'd ever tell this story," Collin previously wrote of his upcoming book. "Growing up, millions of people watched my life on television. People felt like they knew me. They knew my family.
"They watched me grow up. But there was so much they never saw."

He added: "For years, I kept those experiences to myself. Some because I was afraid. Some because I didn't think anyone would believe me. And some because I just wasn't ready."
Seemingly giving fans further insight into the exposé to come, Collin shared a headline about Kate on Instagram this week, which was originally published by the New York Post.
The article had been titled: "Kate Gosselin 'spiralling' ahead of estranged son Collin's bombshell memoir: She knows it's about to hit the fan."
Collin blurred his mother's face on the photo, before adding a cryptic fan comment that read, 'What's done in darkness will always come to light'.
His latest remarks come two years after Collin brought formal allegations against his mother, claiming she began abusing him when he was eight or nine years old.

Collin claimed in 2024 to have been 'isolated' from his other siblings by his mother as a youngster, and was forced to be her 'scapegoat' for Kate's issues, taking the 'brute end of things'.
Responding to her son's claims at the time, Kate's attorney insisted he didn't believe she'd 'intentionally' harmed her child, and 'did what she did to protect herself and her family' from Collin's supposedly 'troubled behaviour'.
Last year, during a TikTok live, Collin also revealed he no longer has contact with his brothers and sisters.
"Unfortunately, I don't talk to my siblings, and I very much wish that we did and that they knew who I actually was because we don't know each other at all," he said.
