Jennifer Lopez has appeared to remove her tattoo dedicated to Ben Affleck amid their divorce.

Now, the idea of inking your body as tribute for your undying love to your partner may sound like a romantic idea at the time - but it's clear things don't always go to plan.

Last Valentine's Day, the 55-year-old 'Jenny from the Block' singer revealed that she and her now ex-husband had gotten matching tattoos together.

Lopez opted for a ribcage placement for the tattoo - an infinity symbol which features the pair's initials embedded within the lines, while Ben, 52, opted for two crossed arrows with their initials on the side of his torso.

The tats appeared to send a message to the world that the pair were planning on being together for the rest of their lives - with both infinity symbols and cupid’s arrows being unmistakable symbols of true love.

However, that was sadly not the case after Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck after just two years of marriage back in August.

Since then, it would appear as if Lopez has removed her 'commitment' tat.

The actress was recently spotted at the Toronto International Film Festival where she rocked a stunning silver gown featuring disco ball-style accents and black bows with a matching silver clutch and platform heels.

However, the ribcage ink was seemingly nowhere to be seen in the outfit cut-outs.

The pop icon hasn't confirmed whether she has had the tattoo removed or if she's covered it up with make-up.

The former celebrity power couple who - known as 'Bennifer' back in the early 2000s - first met on the set of Gigli back in 2001.

Then, in November 2002, Lopez was seen wearing a six-carat pink diamond engagement ring.

Their wedding had been set for June 2003 but had been postponed. In a joint statement at the time, Lopez and Affleck explained: "Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date.

"When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate 'decoy brides' at three different locations, we realised that something was awry."

Ultimately, it all proved too much and they called it quits the following year.

They both went off to marry different partners, Lopez with Marc Anthony in June 2004 and Affleck with Jennifer Garner in June the following year.

After over a decade, the pair got engaged once again in April 2022 before tying the knot the second time around in July that same year.

Two years later, the pair separated with the listed date of separation being 26 April 2024.
