Jennifer Lawrence hits back at claims she had plastic surgery

The Hunger Games actor got candid about her experience with cosmetics in a new interview with Kylie Jenner.

Jennifer Lawrence has addressed rumours that she’s had cosmetic surgery - and the answer may shock some fans.

It’s been more than ten years since the actor stepped out as mutant Mystique in X-Men: First Class and Katniss Everdeen in the first instalment of The Hunger Games franchise.

At the time of the latter’s release, Jennifer, now 33, was just 21 years old.

Following the trilogy, the star has gone on to land roles in Red Sparrow, Netflix’s Don’t Look Up and more recently the hilarious comedy, No Hard Feelings.

However, J-Law fans have been quick to comment on the star’s changing facial structure in the last few years.

After recently stepping out for the Dior Fashion Show, many social media users took to platforms to question if the star had gone under the knife.

Addressing the reports a new interview with Kylie Jenner, the Passengers actor has officially put rumours to bed.

Chatting to the 26-year-old for Interview Magazine, Jennifer said: “I think it’s incredible what make-up can do because I work with Hung [Vanngo], who overlines the lip, and I call him a plastic surgeon because everybody in the last few months since I’ve been working with him is convinced that I had eye surgery.

“I’m like, “I didn’t have eye surgery. I’m doing make-up’.”

When asked if she had ‘always’ worked with the make-up artist, the mother-of-one laughed and said she has ‘apparently had full plastic surgery’.

Elsewhere in the conversation, the pair discussed ageing and the loss of ‘baby weight’.

Jennifer explained: “I’m like, ‘I grew up. I lost baby weight in my face, and my face changed because I’m ageing.’

The actor claims that make-up is the only thing she has used to alter her appearance.

“Everybody thought I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘I’ve had the exact same nose. My cheeks got smaller. Thank you for bringing it up’.”

Earlier this year, Jennifer’s previously-mentioned No Hard Feelings flick received backlash for its ‘creepy’ storyline.

In the Gene Stupnitsky-directed movie, the star plays 32-year-old Maddie and is tasked with dating a couple’s 19-year-old son.

At the time of its theatrical release, many viewers took to social media to blast the 13-year age gap being portrayed on-screen.

But it turns out the sex-comedy is based on a real advertisement.

It’s said that producer, Marc Provissiero, was attempting to make a movie out of helicopter parenting - a parenting method which sees parents be highly involved in their child's life - but couldn’t quite nail the story.

But then, fellow flick producer Naomi Odenkirk stepped in and showed him an ad from Craigslist.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Provissiero said: “I had drinks with Gene about six months later. Halfway through the dinner I remembered this Craigslist ad that Naomi brought in six months earlier.

“And he didn’t believe me, and he made me dig it up and show it to him on my phone. And, he said, ‘I’ll write this for you on spec.’”

No Hard Feelings is available to stream on Netflix now.
