Pitbull’s latest admission about that photo with Jennifer Lopez has sparked a mixed reaction online.
During a recent Q&A for Billboard’s Latin Music Week in Miami, the American rapper, 45, opened up on the viral snap of him performing with the ‘Let's Get Loud’ singer, 57, at the 2011 American Music Awards, admitting he ‘got excited’.
The two famously collaborated on the hit single, ‘On The Floor,’ which was released in the same year, and has recently had a huge revival thanks to Off Campus’ Allie and Dean. If YKYK.
Speaking about working with JLo and the success of the song, he gushed: “What a, at the time, an absolute blessing and honor to be able to work with Jennifer Lopez. Everything that she’s done in her career and how she climbed it from the bottom all the way to where she continues to pull off her career and the success that she has.”

However, the rapper then went on to awkwardly share a little bit too much about the performance.

He recalled: “But funny story on that right there... There’s a picture out there with me and Jennifer at an [awards show]. And Jennifer, during rehearsal, didn’t do a certain move that she did when the show went on.
“And when she did that move, I got excited. So that makes sense to that picture, if you know what I’m talking about.”
While we all know what he’s referring to, of course, some social media users are finding the admission a little bit unnecessary.
One X user penned: “He really could've kept that confession completely buried, yet he went and told everyone alive.”
While a second added: “Being disgusting is something to be proud I see,” as a third wrote: “Gross. Who cares. Why did we need to know this?”
And a fourth agreed: “SHE DID NOT EVEN ASK THAT HE LITERALLY JUST OFFERED IT UP evidence no. 075647387048 that men are dumber than women.”

During the interview, Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, also talked about working with legendary country singer Dolly Parton, who died aged 80 earlier this year.
He joked: “She’s Dolly and I’m dale,” before describing her as ‘always happy’.
He revealed that she once told him, “Well, hey, you know I’m Miss Worldwide, right?”
As for Lopez, she has since performed at the AMAs more than 10 times, including her opening medley as host and performer at the 2025 ceremony.
She opened the show by performing an energetic, six-minute dance medley featuring 23 popular hits from the year, and even kissed some of her backup dancers, creating another viral moment.
Ahead of the show, she told PEOPLE Magazine: “I’ve been part of this award show for so long and being part of the American music scene for so many years now, and I can’t believe how many times I’ve actually performed on the American Music Awards. I think it’s 10 times! Something crazy.”
