Ivanka Trump's latest TV appearance has sparked a wild new conspiracy theory - and it's all to do with her hair.

The 43-year-old eldest daughter of US President Donald Trump and his first wife, Ivana, appeared on CBNC last week, where she discussed the assassination of right-wing podcaster Charlie Kirk.

Kirk died on September 10 after being fatally shot at a university event in Utah and tens of thousands of Americans paid their respects at a memorial service yesterday (Sunday 21 September).

Ivanka said on the programme: "I've known Charlie for approaching a decade now and he was a good man. Highly principled, and he was a champion for debate, dialogue and free speech - the cornerstone of democracy."

The former advisor to the US president added: "I think he represents the kind of politics we should aspire to, where you're not afraid of people who disagree with you, in fact you welcome them into conversation."

However, some viewers couldn't help but fixate on one aspect of the interview - Ivanka's long blonde hair.

The mother-of-three has sparked conversations online about whether her newest hairstyle is actually a wig.

And some social media users even think the subtle change to her appearance, whether it's a wig or not, has made her look like her step-mum, Melania Trump.

Reacting to the TV appearance, viewers wrote on Twitter: "100% wig" and "Of course it’s a wig!"

A third agreed: "I think it’s a wig," while others made sure to point out the comparison to Melania, who wears her darker locks in a similar middle-part style.

"It’s so weird how she decided to style herself like Melania now," one person penned on Twitter.

While others added: "'I don't recognise her. She looks different" and "She's trying to pull off Melania's hair style."

"If that hair was brown it would be the same as Melania’s," agreed someone else.

And another person chimed in with: "If she had darker hair, she would look similar to Melania."

However, understandably, others have jumped in to defend the daughter of the US president, as it doesn't really matter whether she's wearing a wig or not.

Someone questioned: "Does it really matter? I think there is more important things happening in the world."

While others chimed in with: "Y'all are really reaching" and "She looks gorgeous regardless."

The debate comes after Ivanka took on a surprising new role in partnership with her father, despite previously vowing to stay away from the world of politics.

For those who didn't know, Ivanka had previously served as a full-time adviser during her father's first term in office, from 2017 to 2021.

However, since he returned to the Oval Office for a second term in January, she has largely kept out of it all and even admitted she 'hates politics'.

But, she appears to have had a change of heart as she's reportedly helping the CEO and President of UFC, Dana White, with his plan to stage a UFC event on the grounds of the White House.

White recently told Front Office Sports: "I feel really good about how that’s progressing. We’re actually heading (to Washington) at the end of August for meetings about it. Ivanka is also involved in this."
