Just weeks after insisting she has no plans to take the path previously paved by her father, Ivanka Trump has seemingly gone back on her word with one surprising new career move.
For those in need of a reminder, the 43-year-old is Donald Trump's eldest daughter, closely following big brother Don Jr, 47, and preceding younger brother Eric, 41, half-sister Tiffany, 31, and 19-year-old half-brother Barron.
Despite having boasted a successful career in both business and politics - having been a senior advisor in her father's first term - mother-of-three Ivanka claimed earlier this year that she has no plans to join Trump in the White House.
She insisted ahead of the Republican's inauguration that the decision has been spurred by the need to protect her own kids from the 'darkness of that world', seemingly alluding to the assassination attempt made against her father last year.

Speaking to Fox & Friends, Ivanka explained: "I love policy and impact. I hate politics. And unfortunately, the two are not separable. There is a darkness to that world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine.
"The main reason I am not going back to serve now is I know the cost, and it’s a price that I’m not willing to make my kids bear."
However, while the New Yorker might have stuck to her guns when it comes to avoiding the political realm, she has since followed in her billionaire father's footsteps in another way, by turning to property development.

Prior to politics, Trump, 79, worked primarily as a real estate developer, becoming the head of his family's already successful business in the 70s.
He changed the company's name to the Trump Organisation, and continued to acquire and build skyscrapers, hotels, casinos and golf courses.
Seemingly inspired by her right-wing dad's success, Ivanka has since commenced the planning over her very own property project.
Joined by her businessman husband Jared Kushner, she is said to have plans to invest as much as $1.4 billion to totally renovate an abandoned Soviet weapons base, sitting on the Albanian island of Sazan.

According to the New York Times, the pair have supposedly set their sight into transforming the facility into a luxury, 1,400-acre island resort, and have already received preliminary approval from the Albanian government.
This wouldn't be the pair's first project of this kind, with 44-year-old Kushner's family already owning several commercial, residential, and retail properties in and around New York.
It will, however, be the couple's first attempt at a deluxe property.

Last year, Ivanka's representatives told press that her property development team were working with the 'best architects and the best brands' to turn the neglected property - which still contains unexploded and buried weapons - into an 'extraordinary' place.
In response, Albania's president told The Guardian that his country 'can't afford not to exploit a gift like Sazan', adding: "We need luxury tourism like a desert needs water."
