Holly Willoughby has spoken out on getting 'caught up' in a Kim Kardashian 'fly-past' at the Monaco Grand Prix over the weekend.
The former This Morning presenter was joined by comedian Michael McIntyre on the grid as they did a joint interview with Sky Sports F1.
Shortly after gushing over being 'so lucky' to attend the prestigious sporting event, the pair were seemingly pushed aside by the press, who were keen on getting some air time with Kim and her sister, Khloé Kardashian, who were supporting Lewis Hamilton.
Willoughby appeared to get pushed while McIntyre actually found himself swept up in the 'fly-past' as he exclaimed: "It’s the Kardashians! It’s the Kardashians! I’m joining them."
McIntyre joked: "I’ve just been hit by a wave. You know when you’re on holiday, and a wave hits you? And it’s like 'that’s actually quite dangerous' - we’ve been Kardashian-waved! My back’s gone."
Holly Willoughby has opened up about the Kim Kardashian 'fly-past' at the Monaco Grand Prix over the weekend (Sky Sports F1) "I think something belonging to Kim - I’m not saying anything - may have struck me in my lower back area," he added. "And I [have] got to tell you, it hurt."
In all fairness, Kim did look back over her shoulder after passing the pair.
Footage from the interrupted interview has since gone viral on social media, and Willoughby has since come forward to reflect on the exchange in an Instagram montage post about the weekend.
She captioned the post: "What a weekend! Monaco you didn’t disappoint… @williamsf1team @jv.f1 thank you for having us.
"Hard to pick a highlight, grid walks, hot laps (I will post this later, safe to say I wasn’t built for speed) all topped off by getting caught up in a @kimkardashian fly-past."
Willoughby concluded the tongue-in-cheek caption, adding: "Also Barry and Daimo thank you for your hospitality… that’s one weekend that I’ll never forget."
It didn't take long for fans to rush to the comments, sharing their reactions to the viral encounter with one Instagram user writing: "Amazing!!!! Saw you and Michael McIntyre being taken out by the KimK team. Looked incredible!"
"@michaelmcintyre was mint!!!!! Surprised, though he wasn’t tackled to the ground by her security!" joked a second, as a third chimed in: "The Kardashian fly-past was sooo funny."
Fans rushed in to praise the pair for how they handed the 'hilarious' situation (Sky Sports F1) "@kimkardashian crew nearly knocking over @michealmcnintyre over was the funniest thing ever," quipped someone else.
Another echoed: "@michaelmcintyre on the grid walk with the Kardashians was a highlight."
And a final Instagram user commented: "The Kardashians incident…"
"So funny…" Willoughby later replied, along with a laughing face emoji.
Prior to sharing her montage post, Willoughby reshared a Sky Sports F1 post which included footage of the fly-past.
"Michael McIntyre getting swept away by the Kardashians in Monaco was not on our bingo card," the outlet captioned the carousel post, which saw Willoughby and McIntyre as collaborators.
Kardashian, who rocked a throwback look at the Grand Prix which reportedly violated a rule, rubbed F1 fans up the wrong way after an awkward interaction on the grid.
Willoughby said it was a weekend she will 'never forget' (Instagram/@hollywilloughby) Sky Sports legend Martin Brundle attempted to interview the reality star, however, she appeared to ignore him.
"Okay, Kim and Khloe, so we’re not talking today. I like to believe they might do..." he said after trying to get Kardashian's attention multiple times.
Elsewhere, Hamilton, who finished second after Kimi Antonelli, said of Kardashian after the race: "It is amazing to have her come this weekend and to have that support.
"It is amazing to have good people around you, good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day."
