Heidi Klum fans reckon her unbelievable Halloween costume got awkwardly upstaged by another celebrity first.

Now, as we know, the 51-year-old model has long been hailed as the 'Queen of Halloween' with fans across the globe eager to see what weird and wonderful concept she decides to go all-out for during the very peak of spooky season.

We've seen Heidi donning all sorts of bizarre costumes over the years with her 2023 peacock get-up and her iconic worm outfit the year before in 2022 being two of the most recent stand-outs so far.

However, Heidi took her Halloween costume tradition one step further this year dressing up as none other than E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (or just E.T. for short) for the 23rd edition of her Halloween party, held at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York, last night (31 October).

The character warmed hearts when it first popped onto our screens back in 1982 in Steven Spielberg's cult family sci-fi flick starring Drew Barrymore and Henry Thomas.

So, it was a pretty incredible sight seeing Heidi pay homage to one of the world's most loved movie characters over four decades later.

However, Heidi wasn't the only star with that concept in mind as another celebrity also donned the alien suit for her own spin on the famous alien.

Grammy-nominated singer Janelle Monáe debuted her incredible E.T. look on the Halloween episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.

She also posted a series of snaps on Instagram, showing off the stunningly intricate body suit dressed up in various get-ups as a tribute to the movie.

"You are easily the most hilarious person I’ve ever met omg," one Instagram user commented.

A second declared: "Undefeated Halloween champ."

"Shesssshhhh you WON Halloween again!" gushed a third, while a fourth chimed in: "Nah Halloween is yours respectfully."

After catching light of both Janelle, 38, and Heidi opting for the same costume, fans also couldn't wait to rush to social media to share their thoughts on the matter.

Namely, that the 'Make Me Feel' singer seemingly upstaged Heidi.

One X user penned: "I know Heidi Klum was SICK af when Janelle Monae popped out as ET this Halloween."

Another quipped: "Oh I just know Heidi threw a chair when Janelle Monáe revealed their E.T. costume first earlier today lol."

"Kind of gagged over Janelle Monae and Heidi Klum having the same Halloween costumes this year," joked another. "They’re having a diva off."

And a final X user echoed: "Think this the first time Heidi got out Heidi-ed by Janelle Monae."
