Harry Styles has been keeping out of the spotlight so far this year, while rumours have been swirling that the ‘Watermelon Sugar’ hitmaker has another album on the way.

And while we’re yet to hear whether this is true, fans have been left open-mouthed after the singer dropped something that no one was expecting on Thursday (24 July).

Harry’s brand, Pleasing, announced that it's taking quite the pivot from nail polishes and tote bags, and is now entering the sex toy market.

In an Instagram post shared with its 1.3 million followers, the company said it wants people to ‘please themselves like they mean it’ as it shared details of a ‘pleasure shop’ pop-up experience.

Pleasing went on to share details of its two new products - a double-sided vibrator and a very fancy looking bottle of lube.

Understandably, fans of the former One Direction star have lost their minds after seeing the announcement and can’t wait to get their hands on the items.

However, as the NSFW products were revealed, there was a bit of a mix-up online that left people mistakenly outraged.

Some of the huge pop culture social media accounts, such as Pop Crave and Pop Case, rushed to X to share the news.

The post by Pop Crave included a screenshot of the vibrator and lube alongside their prices, which read ‘RD $4,200’ and ‘RD $1,600’.

But what some fans failed to realise was that the currency in that particular screenshot was Dominican pesos, not American dollars.

Shocked by the costs after the money mix up, people ran to the replies to share their thoughts, before reading it properly - we get it, it’s an easy mistake to make!

One user quipped: “$4200??? Is Harry controlling it through his phone???”

Another joked: “$4200 and still no emotional support included.”

A third questioned: “In this economy? I can’t even blink without spending money.”

Meanwhile, someone else pointed out: “It’s hella expensive, cheap ones does the same job lol.”

And one fan chimed in with: “WHY IS IT SO EXPENSIVE.”

Pointing out their mistake though, one social media user clarified: “That's Dominican pesos lol. It's 69 US dollars.”

Another wrote: “Read the currency maybe??”

While one person noted: “It’s $68 USD y’all.”

Indeed, 'The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator' costs $68 (£50), while 'The Pleasing Lube' will set you back $25 (£18).

Elsewhere, other fans have simply reacted to the surprising new business venture, with one joking: “I can't believe we live in a world where harry styles is dropping sex toys before hs4.”

A second added: “Me opening harry styles’ ig story expecting it to be about love on tour 2 year anniversary but I got pleasing vibrators instead.”
