Harry Potter star Jessie Cave claims that handling one child is 'harder' than four
Jessie Cave and her fiancé Alfie Brown have made a candid admission about parenthood, as they revealed that, surprisingly, they find it harder to look after one of their children than all four together.
The Harry Potter actress, 39, who played Lavender Brown in the wizarding film series, and her comedian partner are mum and dad to four kids - Donnie, 11, Margot, nine, Abraham, five, and Becker, three.
They also co-host a podcast together, Before We Break Up Again, where they share the honest realities of their relationship and family life.
In a clip from a recent episode shared to TikTok, Jessie admitted: “I find it more difficult with one child. I do. I know that you think that’s bulls***.”

Alfie then affirmed: “No, I don’t think it’s bulls***; I do think it’s more difficult with one child because we have four.”
Explaining his reasoning why, he said: “So they’re so used to having to fight and clamour for our attention that when we have one by themselves they go into this like overload of ‘I can’t believe that I’ve got access to two adults and I’m just one child. What is this horn of plenty that I’ve been delivered?”
The couple then revealed that when they recently had one of their boys alone, he was ‘drawing love hearts on the table’ and ‘saying ‘I love you’ constantly to us,’ which they found ‘so sweet’.
Alfie outlined: “Because they’re so starved of focus from us, because we’re too often managing them like they’re a team of things, or like they’re sheep to be wrangled.”
It comes after the couple announced the exciting news of their engagement back in April, posting a photo from their bed, with Jessie showing off her ring.
She penned in the caption: “12 years and 4 kids later …. It’s getting serious!!!”
It followed a big house move for the family, which Jessie detailed in a candid New Year’s Day post.
The actress wrote at the time: "We moved from a small flat in London, where I’ve lived my whole life, to Liverpool, my new home.
“The kids started new schools. We all had to adjust to not living in basically one room and knowing what everyone else was doing every second of the day (I have found this change the hardest).
“We did up the house and made loads of mistakes and still have so much to finish, but it’s safe and colourful and perfect for now.”
She also explained that she and Alfie launched their podcast last year, which ‘has kind of acted as couples therapy’ and served as ‘a nice reminder that I have some interests other than pregnancy, birth and child-rearing’.
Jessie and Alfie first crossed paths at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012, where they were both performing stand-up.
Two years later, they were set up on a date through a mutual friend, and didn’t see each other again until four months later, when Jessie realised she was pregnant with his child.
In December, she explained on the Have A Word podcast: "The first thing I text him was, 'Hiya, we need to talk'. I didn't want to be rejected because I needed him to talk. I was trying to do a text that was like sexy and aloof, but 'you have to meet me'."
