Actor Jessie Cave has revealed she’s been making more money selling videos of her hair than she ever has through acting, admitting the surprising move has actually ‘saved’ her family’s lives.
Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter film series, shocked fans when she revealed she’d joined OnlyFans, where she was selling hair ‘fetish content’.
"It's very much geared toward people who have an interest or fetish with hair,” the mum-of-four previously explained on her Before We Break Up Again podcast.
“I do a lot of videos with my hair on Instagram and I have now for a while. I just noticed that I always get comments.”

Explaining how it’s ‘never sexually depraved or lascivious’, Cave, 38, said she made the pivot after realising she always got ‘lots of interest in the hair thing’, and could entertain that ‘niche’.
And it seems to be more than paying off, as the star now says she’s made more on OnlyFans in a year than she's ever made cumulatively through acting roles.
In a new interview with The Times, she detailed how she has subscribers paying $6 a month to watch her content, with people paying more for ‘paid-for messages’.
She made 3,500 subscribers alone from her very first post, which went viral.

“Think of that money,” Cave told the outlet.
Within one day, she’d earned back £15,000 - the amount she’d spent on her accommodation at the Edinburgh Fringe.
“And I’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,” she added.
While Cave said numbers dropped off slightly when users saw her page featured non-explicit content, she still has an ‘embarrassing’ number of loyal subscribers.
“I wear baggy T-shirts on stage, I’ve never posted a bikini shot, I wear huge glasses,” she continued.
“For so long I’ve just been this quirky figure. After having four kids and feeling invisible for so long that was really appealing to me.”
Cave shares four children with her fiancé, comedian Alfie Brown, with the challenges of parenting being a driving force behind her unorthodox career move.

“I couldn’t go and, say, work in a supermarket because I can’t afford the childcare, and also I don’t want people shouting Harry Potter spells at me as I work at Tesco,” she said.
“I could retrain but I can’t afford to do a degree. I had a breakdown and I thought, that’s it with acting, I give up. But also we have no money. It was a point of complete desperation.”
Cave is wary about the longevity of her latest business venture, saying she's unsure how long she can last if she doesn't 'start giving more'.
"I’m not going naked," she said.
"I don’t even talk on it. [...] The bottom line is I can’t afford to stop and I do enjoy a lot of it. There’s a lot that I don’t enjoy too.”
Still, for now she's reaping the rewards - having recently thanked her OnlyFans supporters for funding her boob job - well, 'the price of one boob' - having decided to have the work done in celebration of one year of doing 'hair content'.

"Wanted to do this for ages, but never thought I’d actually do it, much like I never thought I’d be doing what I do now for a living," she told fans on Instagram.
"I’m actually quite proud of myself for being bold for the first time in my life. I’ve breastfed 4 babies, clocking up 6 years of feeding and pumping.
"I am so grateful my body was able to do that, but I thought it was time to do something for myself."
