Donald Trump’s latest proposed controversial decision could ban George Clooney’s wife, Amal Clooney, from entering the United States.
Amal, a British lawyer and human rights activist, who tied the knot with the Ocean's Eleven actor back in 2014, was born in Lebanon before moving to the UK as a toddler due to civil war. She later studied at both Oxford University and NYU and is licensed to practice law in both the States and the UK.
Now, 78-year-old Republican has been extremely vocal about his stance on deportation, previously rejoicing over kickstarting the 'largest deportation operation in American history'.

And, in one of Trump's dozens upon dozens of executive orders he's passed since his inauguration back in January, he ordered International Criminal Court (ICC) officials, employees and their immediate family members to be hit with financial penalties and visa restrictions.
This particular executive order, signed in February, sanctioned the ICC over what he deemed 'baseless' warrants for Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant in November.
"With regard to the crimes, the [Court’s Pre-Trial Chamber I] found reasonable grounds to believe that Mr. Netanyahu…and Mr. Gallant…bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts," the ICC said at the time, as per the United Nations.

They also charged three leaders of the militant group Hamas, People Magazine reports.
Amal was one of many lawyers on the expert panel put together by ICC's Prosecutor Karim Khan, where the panel 'unanimously' concluded that there were 'reasonable grounds to believe that Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Deif and Ismail Haniyeh have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity'.

Now, according to a recent article published by the Financial Times, it was reported that the UK has issued a warning to British lawyers that they might face sanctions across the pond.

These reported warnings have allegedly been sent from Britain’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to senior lawyers who were supposedly involved in the ICC's war crimes case.
Such warnings come after Trump signed the executive order in question which claims the ICC 'engaged in illegitimate and baseless actions targeting America and our close ally Israel'.
"The ICC has, without a legitimate basis, asserted jurisdiction over and opened preliminary investigations concerning personnel of the United States and certain of its allies, including Israel, and has further abused its power by issuing baseless arrest warrants targeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Former Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant," it states.

The order goes on to threaten to 'impose tangible and significant consequences on those responsible for the ICC’s transgressions' which may include 'the blocking of property and assets, as well as the suspension of entry into the United States of ICC officials, employees, and agents, as well as their immediate family members'.
This means that Amal, who reportedly resides in France with George but currently lives in New York while George stars in the Broadway play Good Night, and Good Luck, could reportedly be barred from entering the US for her role in influencing the ICC to charge Netanyahu for his 'crimes against humanity'.
It is yet to be confirmed whether Clooney was contacted, however, as the extent of her role is unconfirmed.
Tyla has reached out to both Amal and George Clooney's representatives for comment.
