New York Magazine has officially launched its first-ever Men’s Style issue featuring actor Elliot Page on the cover.
Introducing their new project, the outlet wrote on social media: “We've often covered men’s style over the years. There was the 1971 cover story wondering if men would get into high heels for fall and the 1996 profile of male supermodels (‘They’re hot, they’re rich, they’re openly straight’).
“And for three seasons starting in 2006, the back half of the women’s fashion issue was a mini men’s magazine.”
The post continued: “Now, 20 years later - when even 15-year-olds are ‘hype’ about Ralph and Armani’s got a brand-new designer - it feels like the right moment to dedicate an entire issue to the subject.”

Page, 39, who is best known for his roles in The Umbrella Academy and more recently, The Odyssey, is one of three cover stars, alongside actors Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist and singer Troye Sivan.
However, Page’s inclusion has garnered particular praise as he’s also the first openly transgender man to feature on the cover of the new magazine - granted, there have only been three cover stars so far, but still hugely important representation!

The star came out as transgender in December 2021, and since then has gone on to make history as the first openly trans man to appear on the cover of Time Magazine, as well as being a consistent advocate for trans rights online.
In the comments of the Instagram post revealing the cover, fans quipped: “KING ELLIOT” and “He looks great!”
A third wrote: “Go for it, man!! Elliot is sooo cool,” while a fourth added: “@elliotpage You are fabulous and jacked! Living your truth is what it's all about.”
A fifth penned: “OH MY GOD YES THIS IS AMAZING” and a sixth gushed: “He just looks so much happier. There’s so much joy radiating out of him. Like a calm after a storm.”
A seventh wrote: “It's so good to see him thriving. I hope he inspires others to have the courage to unapologetically be themselves.”
And an eighth chimed in with: “Elliot looks great, and I’m proud of him for living his truth in spite of the vile amount of hate he has received. He’s a strong person. I hope he is happy.”
On the cover, Page posted shirtless with his arms crossed while wearing blue striped shorts.
The star posted his first shirtless image back in 2023 and shared how his gender-affirming surgery changed his life.

At the time, he wrote alongside the snap: "Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt - or layers and oh so sweaty - constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized [T-shirt].
"It feels so f***ing good soaking in the sun now; I never thought I could experience this, the joy I feel in my body. I am so grateful for what gender-affirming care has allowed me, and I look forward to sharing more of my journey soon. #transjoy."
When he came out in 2020, he wrote on social media: “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they, and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.
"I feel overwhelming gratitude for the incredible people who have supported me along this journey. I can’t begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self."
