After Cher savagely took aim at his marriage last week, Dax Shepard has a few choice words for the musician.
For those who missed it, the 79-year-old 'Believe' hit-maker appeared on Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast on 5 January, where the host's relationship with fellow actress Kristen Bell was up for debate.
For those in need a reminder, Shepard and Bell tied the knot at the Beverly Hills County Clerk's Office in 2013, six years after they started dating.
Around the time they said 'I do', Bell, 45, had been working closely alongside Cher on the set of backstage musical Burlesque, which also starred Christina Aguilera and Stanley Tucci.

The years that followed saw the Detroit locals welcome two daughters together - Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11.

Reflecting on the theme of love during this week's show, Without A Paddle actor Shepard, 51, was asked by Cher who his 'dream partner' for Bell - who was playing co-host on the episode - would be.
Flipping the question back to the singer, he pointed out: "Because I know you think she could be better, and I don't disagree."

Cher then brutally replied: "The truth is, I trust her. So you must have something that I don't see."
At the time, Shepard responded to the remarks with grace, telling the 'Turn Back Time' hit-maker: "I'll tell you the thing that you should like about me. I'm not threatened by her shining. Love it.
"The shinier she gets, the better."
Seemingly pleased by the remark, Cher told the couple that her own (considerably-younger) partner Alexander 'AE' Edwards bears the exact same trait, adding of her other-half: "The more I shine, the more he has won."

Though listeners of the show went on to question whether or not the father-of-two was being genuine in his overly-sweet reply, Shepard has since confirmed that he absolutely was.
Reflecting on Cher's remarks while chatting to Access Hollywood on the red carpet of this weekend's Golden Globes, he teased: "I think we both expected that. That's why you love Cher, which couldn't be greater."

Shepard's other podcast co-presenter, Monica Padman - who appeared alongside him on Sunday evening (11 Jan), also had her say on the singer's viral comments, noting: "There was a couple big headlines, but people need to go listen to the whole thing because everything she [Cher] says is perfect."

Agreeing again, Shepard added: "We thought it was hysterical."
