It's not every day that the living legend that is Cher roasts your marriage.
The 79-year-old 'Believe' hit-maker recently sat down on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast in yesterday's episode (5 January), where they discussed Shepard's relationship with Kristen Bell.
For context, the married couple met back in 2010, around the same time Cher and Bell filmed Burlesque together, before tying the knot in 2013. They went on to have two children: daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 11.
During the chat, it's clear Cher didn't hold back after telling Shepard that his missus 'deserves better' - ouch.

"Who would be your dream partner for her? Cause I know you think she could be better, and I don't disagree," Shepard asked with Bell also appearing during the interview.

Cher didn't seem to have thought it through that far, as she was unable to name another person, but she did, however, admit: "The truth is, I trust her. So you must have something that I don't see."
Reflecting on her thoughts of Bell when they first met filming the hit musical-theatre flick, which starred Christina Aguilera and Stanley Tucci, the 'Turn Back Time' singer recalled: "We got along so well, and we were very sympatico, and I respected her a lot.
"I didn’t know who she was, but she was good."

Defending himself, Shepard then chimed in: "I'll tell you the thing that you should like about me. I'm not threatened by her shining. Love it. The shinier she gets, the better."
Cher clearly found such an attribute relatable, sharing that her boyfriend, Alexander 'AE' Edward, feels the same way about her own successes.
"Alexander is that way too. The more I shine, the more he has won," she gushed, prompting Bell to chime in: "Guys who polish you so you shine more."

Towards the end of the chat, Shepard told Cher: "I adore you, and I understand nobody's good enough for her."
Bell echoed such sentiments, telling Cher that her 'slow burn' hubby is 'almost too good for me'.
"You seem like a good dad," Cher acknowledged, to which Bell replied that Shepard is 'the best dad there ever was'.
