The eldest of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's four children, 12-year-old North West, was spotted at Coachella over the weekend for Weekend One of the major Californian music festival.
Last weekend's headliners included Karol G, Sabrina Carpenter and Justin Bieber, with many celebs seen walking about the grounds and enjoying the performances in the heaving crowds.
And North was one of those A-listers with several photos now making their rounds on social media showing the pre-teen enjoying the festival with her friends.
It hasn't taken long for critics to rush online to share their thoughts about North, whose siblings are Saint (born 2015), Chicago (born 2018), and Psalm (born 2019), attending Coachella.

Some also weren't a fan of what appeared to be thigh dermal piercings, which North sported during the outing.
Others, however, pointed out that Coachella is an 'all-ages event' and theorised as to whether the dermal piercings were even real or just a temporary thing.

Coachella's website states that children five and under can enter the festival for free with a general admission ticket.
And, while anyone can attend, on-site camping is strictly 18+ unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
One critic wrote on Reddit: "Speaking as someone who doesn’t have kids, I think that it’s totally fine for them to experiment with fun hair colours and clothes, especially when they hit those awkward preteen years.
"But, I feel like allowing your child to get thigh piercings is a strange choice."

"Not the thigh dermals," hit out a second as a third chimed in: "She has THIGH DERMALS!"
It's not immediately clear whether the piercings are real or fake.
A fourth slammed: "But what business does a 12-year-old have even doing there?"
"It’s healthy to do age-appropriate things and learn what that is. Not grow up too fast just because you have a bodyguard, and see things that happen at a place like that," worried a fifth.
A sixth, however, outlined: "Coachella is an all-ages event."

"It’s not like she’s there without supervision…" commented a seventh as another agreed: "I kinda think going to a concert with friends while having adult supervision is age appropriate."
And a final Redditor speculated: "It’s awesome that North is out there living life having fun - Kim seems VERY permissive and I just really hope, for her future sake, that she has some rules and boundaries in place. North is still extremely young."
North's fashion choices have been a heated discussion for quite some time now, following fan concerns over controversial facial jewellery, fake face tattoos and her 'high-risk' dermal piercing on her finger.

It's clear that the pre-teen is no stranger to responding to online comments about her after previously responding to the backlash to her controversial finger piercing and calling people out for not minding their own business.
On her and her mum's shared TikTok account, @kimandnorth, North lip-synced to a popular trending sound which says: "Why are you crying? How old are you? Just pull it together."
Written over the video was the text: "This is for everyone that's mad over a finger piercing."
Tyla has reached out to Kim Kardashian's representatives for comment.
