She was called 'a true inspiration'

If there’s one thing we’re a sucker for on social media, it’s a bit of realism.

Especially when it comes to celebrities refusing to airbrush their photos.

In a world dominated by photoshop and unrealistic expectations, it’s always a breath of fresh air to see that A-Listers have lumps, bumps and other ‘imperfections’ just like us.

The latest celeb leading the body positivity movement is chef and TV personality Chrissy Teigen, wife of multi-award winning musician John Legend.

Fans were delighted by her latest Instagram post which she captioned: “When the flash hits your boob lift scars.

This follows on from Chrissy’s admissions earlier this year that she’s had her boobs done three times.

Chrissy has spoke openly about her surgeries.

She told Andy Cohen: “'I've had a lift, a put in, a take them out, I don't like them out.”

Although Chrissy seemed to make the admission by accident, she laughed it off.

Chrissy made more comments about her decision to have breast surgery in an interview with Glamour back in 2020, explaining: “I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old. It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky! But then you have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate and now I am screwed.”

Chrissy wrote, “You’re all zooming I can feel it!!!”

While Chrissy has been left with scars, it seems she's totally embracing it - as evidenced on her Instagram post.

In the photo, Chrissy looks beautiful in a floor length gown, and is pictured posing at Jay Z and Beyoncé’s afterparty, following the Vanity Fair Oscars party.

Rather than opting to cover up or remove the visible scars beneath her breasts, Chrissy opted to draw attention in order to normalise their existence.

Fans piled on the praise.

She added underneath her post: “You’re all zooming I can feel it!!!”

Safe to say, fans piled on the praise.

One commenter wrote: “Agh so beautiful, scars and all. You are a true inspiration to REAL women and Mama’s everywhere.”

Another echoed the sentiment: “I have those scars as well as my daughter. Neither of us would change that for the world. Thank you for normalizing scars!”

A third wrote: “Love your honesty. I would have never noticed. You look gorgeous and John too.”

We agree.
