Chrissy Teigen has been defended by her adoring fans after being mum-shamed for sharing an 'authentic' and 'relatable' breastfeeding photo

The 38-year-old TV personality, best known for Chrissy and Dave Dine Out and Lip Sync Battle, took to Instagram yesterday (8 February) to share with her 42.7 million followers a series of snaps and videos of her two little tots, Esti Maxine, born in January last year and Wren Alexander born just a few months later in June via surrogate, who she shares with her husband, John Legend.

The mum-of-four captioned the post: "Babies and dogs and maybe a nip who cares."

A few trolls online took it upon themselves to slam the slam the mum for the nip slip with one hitting out: "Is there a reason Chrissy never wears a bra or even a shirt at home?"

"What I don't get is why you are naked feeding a bottle??? Put some clothes on????" piped up a second.

A third slammed: "Always without clothes."

"Why are you always naked?" asked a fourth while a fifth said they were 'disgusted' with the whole situation.

And, a Instagram user questioned: "Why is she naked? I would get if she was in fact breastfeeding the kids, it makes it practical, but she’s not… so why?"

While some people took it upon themselves to mum-shame Chrissy for the picture - a load of her fans fortunately came to the rescue to set the critics straight.

One Instagram user penned: "I always enjoy looking at posts. And then I go and read the comments and am reminded how stupid, shallow and morally righteous the majority of these people are. I genuinely fear for what humanity has come to."

Fans rushed in to defend the mum-of-four.

A second wrote: "The comments section never fails to set new lows as a society."

Accompanied by a load of laughing emojis, a third chimed in: "The amount of people freaking out over a nipple..."

"Yes mama," praised a fourth. "Thank you for unapologetically showing us you (and your sweet family)."

A fifth gushed: "So authentic and relatable! That's mum life, who cares ⁉️"

"Yaaaaas! Absolutely love how real this is and these two little besties are beyond adorable," commented a sixth while another added: "I’m obsessed with 'maybe a nip who cares'."

Same.

And, a final Instagram user echoed: "Love how real this is. Whoever has an issue with nips, I hope you feel the same way about shirtless men."

Amen.
