Chrissy Teigen is taking a stand against mum-shaming after trolls criticised her for taking a ‘coconut milk bath’ with her children.

The model and cookbook author, 39, shared a carousel on Instagram on Saturday (8 February) featuring precious moments with her four children; Wren Alexander, 18 months, Esti Maxine, two, Miles Theodore, six, and Luna Simone, eight.

The first photo in the carousel captured the most interest as it showed Teigen naked in a bathtub with her three youngest children. Several commenters on Instagram called the post ‘weird’ and said the children deserve ‘privacy’.

Some followers even went as far as questioning the colour of the bathwater, which lead to Teigen to respond: “It’s a coconut milk bath for sensitive skin but go off!”

Fans also rushed to Teigen’s defence in the comments, with one fan saying: "I love the way you mother."

“Just waiting on the Karens to rip you a new one for doing something every mom has done,” another follower declared.

And a third wrote: “Get over yourselves people… OMG… Seriously shaming a mum and her kids… And making something out of nothing… There are bigger issues in the world.”

Last year, Teigen’s husband John Legend, 46, shared a video to Instagram of his wife soaking off her ‘body makeup’ in the tub while using the Loved 01 exfoliating cleanser from his skincare line.

“Currently getting roasted online for being dirty because no one listened to the audio where I say I’m soaking off body makeup (to shower after!) , full blown fights in John’s comments," Teigen captioned a post of the video on her own page.

She added: “My favorite is 'baths are not for bathing.' I love a good old fashioned roasting though, u guys are killing it (it being never touching grass ever). Using my favorite @loved01skin exfoliator.”

In the video, Chrissy explained to the camera that she was scrubbing 'all' her body make-up off.

John captioned the post: "Sometimes you gotta exfoliate! @chrissyteigen’s favorite @loved01skin product."

However, critics were quick to jump to conclusions about the murky colour of the bath water, with one Instagram user writing: "I went str8 to the comments after seeing that water."

"Damn. She need to let that dirty water drain before posing on social media," slammed a second, while a third piped up: "That's what the shower is for... why the bath.

"Soaking in your own nasty filth."

A fourth commented: "That dirty a** water wtf."

And a fifth echoed: "Wouldn't you be better off having a shower so it can go down the drain!"
