Chrissy Teigen’s ‘whittled tooth’ exposed after Christmas incident

Chrissy Teigen has just revealed her 'whittled tooth' on social media following an unfortunate Christmas incident.

The 40-year-old model shares four children with her husband, John Legend, 46: Luna Simone, Miles Theodore, Esti Maxine and Wren Alexander.

Over the weekend (21 December), she shared a video on Instagram of her and her kids enjoying some Christmassy activities together with the overlay text reading: "Growing candy canes (gone wrong)."

The activity saw the little ones 'plant' a candy cane seed and cover up their plant pots so that Chrissy could incrementally add larger candy canes to give off the effect that they had magically 'grown'.

One cutaway clip saw Chrissy speaking while covering her mouth as she explained she had damaged her pearly whites, while trying to open some hardy packaging: "We're working on candy cane growing, I opened one of these bad boys, my tooth fell off!"

She then flashed a smile showing one of her two front teeth veneers missing, leaving behind a tiny remnant of her original tooth, which was noticeably 'whittled down'.

"It's a veneer, I have the whole piece," she went on, showing the camera the veneer. "This is what mums do for their kids, so you can think you grew a candy cane!

"I was trying to create magic, now I have no tooth!"

She then vlogged going to a school music recital with her missing veneer.

Chrissy ended the video sharing a series of photos showing off the missing tooth to the backing track of Bruno Mars' song 'Just the Way You Are'.

Clearly taking the ordeal in good spirits, she captioned the reel: "Merry Chrithmath from our family to yours!!!!!!!"

Responding to the images, one Instagram user penned: "Veneers are not for the faint of heart, because you could not pay me to let a dentist whittle my teeth to little nubs."

"Same. I recently found out about this. I had no idea they had to do this to their teeth to get veneers on top," confessed another and a third chimed in: "I had no idea why all celebs have crazy perfect teeth. Turns out they’re all fancy dentures."

Others, however, were far less freaked out over the 'nub' with many rushing in to praise Chrissy for her candid online presence.

"I love that you posted this," wrote a fourth.

A fifth chirped: "I love how real your motherhood posts are. Because it is not for the weak!"

"I laughed so hard! You are hilarious!" gushed another.

And a final fan beamed: "Omggggg Chrissy!! Only you can rock a lil snaggle tooth!"
