Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 24 hours or so - you'll know all about the absolute chaos that came after John Legend uploaded a video of his wife, Chrissy Teigen, having a bath.

The 38-year-old model and the 'All of Me' singer, 45, clearly rubbed some of their followers up the wrong way after he uploaded a short clip to Instagram of Chrissy in the tub while exfoliating her body with a product from his skincare range, Loved01 on Monday (17 June).

An absolute avalanche of hate comments followed, with many fans left pretty shocked by the 'nasty' bath water.

Have a look:

In the video, Chrissy was explaining to camera that she was scrubbing 'all' her body make-up off.

John captioned the post: "Sometimes you gotta exfoliate! @chrissyteigen’s favorite @loved01skin product."

However, critics were quick to jump to conclusions about the murky colour of the bath water, with one Instagram user writing: "I went str8 to the comments after seeing that water."

"Damn. She need to let that dirty water drain before posing on social media," slammed a second, while a third piped up: "That's what the shower is for... why the bath.

"Soaking in your own nasty filth."

Others, however, rushed to the mum-of-four's defence, with one Instagram user hitting back: "She literally says that she’s getting her body makeup off. That’s makeup. Not dirt. Some of ya’ll are special."

Another chirped: "She literally says, 'I’m getting all my body makeup off' and y’all are like 'why is the water so dirty???'.

"Also this is a great way to promote his skincare line, Loved 1."

Putting all the chatter to rest, Chrissy explained in a comment under the video: "The water is dirty because I’m getting my body makeup off, like I said in the video my sweet angels!"

The mum-of-four has now since issued a further response on the matter, uploading the bath video to her own Instagram while sharing a savage message to the critics.

She captioned the post: "Currently getting roasted online for being dirty because no one listened the the audio where I say I’m soaking off body makeup (to shower after!).

"Full blown fights in John’s comments. My favorite is 'baths are not for bathing'. I love a good old fashioned roasting though, u guys are killing it (it being never touching grass ever)."

Ouch.

The model rounded the up post concluding: "Using my favorite @loved01skin exfoliator," with a smiling love heart emoji.

You tell 'em, Chrissy!
