Chrissy Teigen has left some of her fans pretty confused after they noticed a 'nasty' detail in a bath video her hubby John Legend recently uploaded on social media.

The 38-year-old model and the 'All of Me' singer, 45, regularly update their followers with snippets from their family life but it seems John's latest Instagram post has really ruffled some feathers.

He took to the 'gram yesterday (17 June) to share a short clip of Chrissy in the bath while exfoliating her body with a product from his skincare range, Loved01.

Have a look:

In the video, Chrissy was explaining to camera that she was scrubbing 'all' her body make-up off.

John captioned the post: "Sometimes you gotta exfoliate! @chrissyteigen’s favorite @loved01skin product."

However, critics were quick to jump to conclusions about the murky colour of the bath water, with one Instagram user writing: "I went str8 to the comments after seeing that water."

"Damn. She need to let that dirty water drain before posing on social media," slammed a second, while a third piped up: "That's what the shower is for... why the bath.

"Soaking in your own nasty filth."

A fourth commented: "That dirty a** water wtf."

And a fifth echoed: "Wouldn't you be better off having a shower so it can go down the drain!"

Others, however, rushed to the mum-of-four's defence, with one Instagram user hitting back: "She literally says that she’s getting her body makeup off. That’s makeup. Not dirt. Some of ya’ll are special."

A second chirped: "She literally says, 'I’m getting all my body makeup off' and y’all are like 'why is the water so dirty???'.

"Also this is a great way to promote his skincare line, Loved 1."

A third penned: "I was concerned for a minute about the colour of that water!! which is why listening and reading is necessary."

Another final Instagram user echoed: "Wow people really don’t read or listen do they."

Putting all the chatter to rest, Chrissy explained in a comment under the video: "The water is dirty because I’m getting my body makeup off, like I said in the video my sweet angels!"

Nicely handled.

Now, whatever your thoughts are on the vid, it's clear it did just the trick in promoting John's new skincare range as one Instagram user resolved: "I was today years old when I found out John Legend has a skincare brand."

Well, that makes two of us!
